For The Love Of God Please Add Skip Cut Scene To The Story Dungeons

I always thought it would kind of be cool for a new player roulette of some sort; where new player team up with new players. Get that fresh experience. A complete pipe-dream I know, just fun to think about.

Not to roll up with us old, grumpy, veteran players; "get off my dang lawn, ya new kids!"

The only problem with this is that the system must find another 7 people who haven't done the same Duty and are queueing for it; And to that, those other 7 people must also queue in the required roles. Honestly, the only thing SE needs to do is ilvl sync us to 70 ( or hell, 50, why not), like they do with all other final x.0 MSQ dungeons. That will actually make both Praetorum and Castrum Meridianum feel like actual final fights against the bad guys who want to conquer our beloved Eorzea (even if we've just arrived a few days ago XD).

I think the way the fights are complete facerolls is kind of a compromise everyone silently agreed on tbh. I mean people are already annoyed enough by the cutscenes, imagine if they actually had to *shudder* putt effort in the fights!

(Like, for real, as a healer, I'm the actual tank more often than not - nobody ever bothers picking up the bazillion adds in CM)

I still like the idea of NPC's helping the player through these types of dungeons though. I do enjoy that you can actually team-up with the Scions finally in SB.

You know the Scions: your friends, allies, partner-in-crimes, the people who highly respect you....

WoL: "Alright, awesome! If you wouldn't mind helping me with this dungeon I got to do..."

Scion: "Oh would you look at the time? I got a... plot device to do over there ...."

It's pretty dumb to do it and it doesn't really save a lot of time. Risking an account over saving a few minutes in a run is simply very foolish.

Especially when the cutscenes aren't that big of a deal. Really, you're not required to sit through them, you can get up, stretch a bit, go get some water, etc. If you have a second monitor, pull up something short on Netflix that you can watch. This bending-over-backwards people are doing to try and avoid the cutscenes is absurd.

Aren't most of them, if not all of them, DPS classes? hell, are they even enough for a Full Party?

At that point in time, Y'shtola is a conjurer. But the main Scions didn't have a tank yet, and they're all off doing other duties with the Grand Companies as part of Operation: Archon.

Among the minor Scions, Arenvald is around for a tank. I don't think Hoary Boulder shows up until the move to the Rising Stones, though.

We used to be able to skip the cutscenes in the 8 man story duties but people who chose to sit there and watch them all started crying because the people not watching them would clear the duty in the time it took to watch all the cutscenes.

So SE chose to appease the noisy minority and force everyone to watch them regardless and the amount of people actually queuing for them dropped considerably. The queue time for it was quite bad the last time I recall queuing for it. However that was a number of months ago.
