For me its both the art style not showing enough muzzle.
And the bodytype is to slim, they should have more muscle. #FemRoeBody

I'm sure the development team are more likely to take notes of such comments if they're posted over there.
I don't know why but nobody really used the thread, so I think it's better to discuss it here since more people have a chance to see it and the subject is obviously pretty closely relatedHere's a link to the female hrothgar thread:

Yep it can have that effect
Its raunchy as hell but its pretty funny if youre aiite with all that.
I think its more so because there isn't a Far-Cry for Female Hrothgar. People want them don't get it wrong, but there isn't a whole lot to talk about with Female Hrothgar, plus also the Female Hrothgar Crowd is abit more Patient.
Plus also remember that this thread got so big partially because people thought that if its constantly on the FrontPage and people keep talking about it, then it would get Male Viera Faster, or there was this whole idea that if its not constantly brought up that the devs and SE would try to sweep it under the rug and act like nobody wants it and use it as an excuse to never do it.
Basically...I guess just the Male Viera Crowd is more Vocal and Anxious about getting what they want then the more Reserved Female Hrothgar Crowd who pretty much said their Peice and are just waiting to see IF it happens.

The FemHroth faction has been pretty unified in how they'd want them to look (not a cop-out or miqo'te 2.0, but actual beast ladies), there are already female Ronso (despite some people's ignorant claims) so we have a baseline for what they look like. The male Viera crowd have gone on and ON about how they should look like, both citing the concept art and not, then the Lore reasons, then a hundred other tiny points that the thread tends to cycle every 20 or so pages. A big thing that keeps the thread alive IS the endless argument of "smol Viera v Slender Viera v 'classically handsome' Viera v Muscular Viera"
Since there are female Ronso, there's also less people going in that thread with the excuse "We've never seen one and so we shouldn't see one/should introduce them in a Matsuno game (never mind that Matsuno has now worked on TWO scenarios for XIV)/should be introduced in a mainline FF".
I DO agree the M!Viera crowd is very vocal, and it has indeed turned into a meme, which in turn causes people to react and say "you're being too loud and obnoxious so I hope you don't get it" (not hyperbolic, we've had a few posts like that in this thread). And it also has a reasoning that the Viera announcement was a full FanFest previous to Hrothgar's announcement and subsequent gender-lock. So the Viera crowd had a lot more time to stew in uncertainty and when the news broke, well, a fair number of us were pretty mad. That made the M!Viera thread get really big really quick, which in turn triggered the reaction of "ugh, why do you want it? you're perverts/annoying/whatnot"
I think it's because more people want male viera (this does NOT in any way mean there isn't an uproar for female hrotgar, or that they hsouldnt be added/they are less important) but its like catboys and femroes (ironically lol). I think that with male viera so many catboys/male au ras/ elezen would be happy, while female hrotgar is a more niche-specific raceI think its more so because there isn't a Far-Cry for Female Hrothgar. Beast Races do mostly appeal to a Niche, you arn't wrong about that. Plus I guess it also depends on the game, cause games like Elder Scrolls/ESO and Guildwars 2 have their Khajiit & Argonians and Charr are pretty popular, while FFXIV it might not appeal to a larger audience. But then again I think it might appeal to a bigger audience if we got like Ivalice Moogles or Bangaa as playable races. I know at least the Bangaa are pretty big in FF fandom. Ivalice Moogles would be an adorable Alternative to Lalafells.I think it's because more people want male viera (this does NOT in any way mean there isn't an uproar for female hrotgar, or that they hsouldnt be added/they are less important) but its like catboys and femroes (ironically lol). Oh geez like...your pretty much right about all of this. The other camp pretty much agrees on a Consensus with Female Hrothgar.I mean, yes, but there are a few more factors:

Yeah, Ive been here for quite a while, I still remember the chaos and the very extreme posts people made in regards to this topic, anger and disappointment through the Nexus @_@
