Ye, gettin shouted at for stuff you could not do anyting against is nice >_>
I also hate when you explain basics and ppl rather wipe 2x then let you explain.
(if ppl wanna learn the hard way sure, but im talking about ppl not wanting to wait as they know/dont care)

this is basicly my arguement against my own thought on that matter. even if you disable disconnecting all someone has to do to dc is unplug their internet.
forcing people to stay 15 minutes is one thing. but a suggestion is if they do not stay at least 5 minutes or a wipe, then they should eat more than a 30 min penalty. if you're gonna rage quit at the start and waste an entire groups time like that you should be forced to eat a longer penalty box.
Yeah, people don't care, so I've noticed. In CT raids I just zoom zoom to keep up with everything, and when the scenes come up I'll just watch them. I'm DPS though, so I'm sure they can manage without me. It's bad though, shouldn't be that way. If I had a choice I'd wait for new players but... 'majority rules' or whatever, so I'm told.Starting to see a rise in "its easy content" flying around lately.
Still, I'm honestly tired of Alliance Roulette as 1) it is almost always a CT raid and 2) the complete disregard to mechanics and other players because "old content is old". Just...wait a few seconds I suppose. I understand that it is quite commomplace to see these kind of events take place (especially in older raids), but I'm honestly tired of seeing complete clusterducks because nobody is paying attention to mechanics or that people are in such a hurry that players end up getting locked out and rejoining, only to rejoin with the wrong alliance and wrong team (looking at you Atomos). Anyway, that's enough of my ranting. I'm sure I'll be back with more, have a good night!
I've had a few dungeons run with 'ez' type mindsets, I always point out it's my first run if I'm new, or if I don't know mechanics, but some groups don't care it's 150mph to the end boss and then I'm like "Mechanics?" and it's usually "LOL, this is ARR content, who cares just hit the thing until it dies cos mechanics mean naff all here."
Okay, fair enough, but still... >_>

First run though Kugane Castle and I decided to heal...and i had a blast. I healed my way along with a JoJo reference of a tank and kept everybody alive so much that the only casually was near the very end of Yojimbo. Even got 2 comms out of it!
10/10 would prolly heal again

If you were that new healer I just had in trial roulette, I hope that you don't get discouraged by those d-bags who kicked you. They were way out of line.
For everyone not in the loop-
I got Wreath of Snakes normal in roulette and one of the healers spoke up that it was their first time in there; had at least one other person pipe up that they were new as well. One of the tanks pulled before anyone could give an explanation or anything so we just went for it. Positions on the targeted AoE drops were all over the place and gave me the impression that there were way more new people than who spoke up. We still made it to the second phase and most people worked out the knockbacks and AoEs alright. Things went sideways when the second set of adds that focus that beam on two players happened at the same time as the stack marker and we lost half the raid.
The new healer managed to survive but the other one went down. They were healing like crazy trying to top off everyone that was still alive while those that went down started calling for healer LB3. I did so as well, even taking the time to type out her name but she must have been tunneling too hard to notice. She kept everyone that was left alive and finally raised the other healer who popped LB3 and got everyone else up. Then promptly ate another AOE and died again. Before the new healer managed get the other guy up (again) that same combo of mechanics happened and took out most of the rest of the raid, heals included. We wiped.
It sucks, but it happens. What really sucked was what took place afterwards.
Someone, my money was on the tank (same one who pulled), initiated a votekick of the new healer for being AFK. I called them out on it and was met with, "he wasn't even rezzing" which was BS because otherwise the other healer would have never gotten up. She just didn't do it fast enough to satisfy the person trying to kick her. Apparently enough people were salty about it because the kick went through, which is really infuriating if you realize these were the same people who failed so spectacularly at handling two fairly simple mechanics that they're the ones who caused the need for the LB3 in the first place. Her delayed raise wasn't even what resulted in the wipe!
I called them on their BS move, because f*ck people like that who would rather kick new players than wait for someone to explain the fight to them, and they kicked me as well. I suppose the truth hurts. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
TL;DR:
Healer in Wreath of Snakes pug whose name starts with "R", you were not the cause of that debacle. That was a result of the majority of the group failing on mechanics and you were targeted as a scapegoat. You want to work on your situational awareness in those sort of instances, but don't let horrible people get you down. I hope you get your clear.

Hard to find time to raise when 3x are dead and mechanics swinging all over the place.
