Yoshi-P has alts on all worlds, some people have friends in the community world wide, and it is especially common for decorators and rolelayers. Because you personally do not do it does not mean it does not make sense.
Dude Yoshi P has alts on all worlds cause there was no world transfer and he made appearances to say hello for community events, its not like he vigorously enjoys playing on 30 alts. Yes it is used for roleplay, idk why for decorators, but whatever. For the big majority it doesnt make any sense, its not like you can only level one class with on character like in so many other games.
My point still stands, if you make garo items account wide with achievements sharing to alts then people gonna wonder why only Garo achievements are shared and nothing else. And if you let them share all account rewards to their alts, you will make less money from RP people buying their alts more mogstation glam. And that sucks economically. So why would they do it?
It is the same reason you only are allowed 2 retainer, while you need way more if you dont want to throw away everything all the time if you are crafting or even gathering. Its free money to sell another 8 retainer, why fix the inventory mess.
Garo was running for years, you missed it on your alt, it was advertised multiple times as being time limited. And had big news towards the end that it is ending. Not like when they shut down diadem in 3 days and made content unaccessible forever.
1. You said, and I quoted "I dont get why people wanna play alts in this game of all games, it makes the least sense." Speaking objectively, I am answering you. Yoshi P has alts, and you said it did not make sense. But now, you are justifying it. I guess it makes sense then.Dude Yoshi P has alts on all worlds cause there was no world transfer and he made appearances to say hello for community events, its not like he vigorously enjoys playing on 30 alts. 2. An alt can be made at any time. If I create one on Aether tomorrow, I am not at fault for being unable to predict the future. I did not miss anything at the time of the event and either I was not clear enough (and if so oops my bad) or you have misread my first post.
1. No it still doesn't make much sense.
2. You didn't need to predict the future, it was already known what happens to your alts. It is your fault. It is not SE fault for not predicting your future self playing an alt that cares about Garo gear. Don't be so entitled. Garo event wasn't any different than other seasonal stuff besides the duration... Do I get the christmas, easter, summer, halloween, dragonquest and moogle items on my other alts aswell? No, I don't. Only limiting it to Garo, doesn't make sense, and I said that already 2 times before. You need to change your inital suggestion or you won't get much support.
It is like people wanting rating decay in PvP but don't say how to implement it properly. And then notice it can't be implemented properly or fairly.
