I wonder how many of these type of threads it will take before they cave in and do instanced housing.

I don't think caving has anything to do with it. It may just literally not work. Unless I missed a Live Letter where they said it was wholly possible with the system.
Auto-demo has only been suspended for 6 weeks. Generally it's suspended for 5-6 months then reactivated during a patch maintenance. I definitely don't expect it to happen until at least 5.3's release and possibly later depending on how the COVID situation impacts business and employment in the areas where players live.
That random timer is what is giving you a better chance to buy a house than you had before that timer was implemented. Perhaps you don't remember those days. I can.
I've never seen them call adding wards a fix. I don't know why you expect the layouts to change when they are copies of one another within the same housing district.
You're wrong about nobody wanting a small plot. Many players enjoy their small plots and passed up opportunities to purchase mediums and larges when they were still available. Since you're confused about what's in a layout, there's 3 large, 7 medium and 20 smalls in each ward division/subdivision.
Crafting station limits were probably set due to the old interactive furnishing limitations that existed. Is it something that could be changed now that PS3 and 32 bit support are gone? I don't know. I agree it would be nice if the limit could be increased or removed.
Would you still bother with gardening when the price of items dropped tremendously because everyone could have as many garden plots as they wanted? Probably not. I could agree with allowing every plot regardless of size the same number of garden slots but it would be foolish of SE to allow them up to the item placement limit because of the impact on the marketboard.
How hypocritical of you to say in one paragraph that you should be allowed to do what you want with your housing just to follow up in the next paragraph complaining about how another player has done what they want with their house.
I'm fairly certain SE understands that just adding new wards isn't working but it's likely the one thing they are better able to implement while they work on other solutions.
All housing interiors are already instanced. It's only the outdoor area of a house plot that isn't.
YoshiP did say at the EU FanFest that they're working on technology that would allow a player in an instanced housing area to be able to see what's happening in a non-instanced area, mentioning being able to see players walking around outside your house from inside the house as an example.
Did they get it to work? We don't know. Nothing has been said since. I doubt he would have mentioned it then if they didn't feel like they were close to having a functional system. But if they do have it working, it's not something I would expect to see added until Ishgard housing is finally released.
They aren't doing anything at all with their house, that's why I am pissed off about it. The house has no vendors, menders, company chest...... nothing. Plus, it's a personal house, which means all that space could most likely be utilized BETTER with a Free Company owning the plot. If he wants to waste the space, I'm sure a S is just as sufficient.
Just cause you don't like the way they decorated their house, doesn't mean they somehow don't "deserve" it.They aren't doing anything at all with their house, that's why I am pissed off about it. Actually having multiple threads is bad - all these concerns should be put into one big large megapost/topic with multiple likes on relevant posts. all these little threads lying about going nowhere don't get noticed by the devs.

They probably DO get noticed by the devs, or rather by the folks who monitor the forums and give feedback to the devs, but what gets noticed is the rudeness of the posters and so the threads are ignored. I know if I monitored the forums, it would be the courteous requests that got passed on, not the ones that insult and disparage the team that created the game.
Having an issue with something does not necessitate rudeness. I agree that instanced housing would be a great solution, but there are ways and means of asking that don't involve screaming and shouting

Lol good luck with that. I tried to get one started for apartment upgrades and it largely went ignored.
there have been many apt threads throughout the forums. if you want to get stuff done you'll have to put in the legwork. contact people on those threads, get your friends to help you, etc.

Yeah, I tried. Perhaps my efforts were lackluster though. May you have better luck than I.![]()
