I'm here to show my support and am personally flabbergasted that we've not really got ANY kind of update yet about the two (as far as I'm concerned "unfinished") races yet? Hasn't it been almost a year if not a little longer? Yikes.

Yoshi P has already commented several times on why they're not in the game. It basically ends with "we will try to implement them if we can. Please understand." Or something to that effect. There's no updates because there's nothing to update you on.

Even if they were working on them, they're not going to reveal them until a fanfest to build hype.

Yoshi P did provide an update in an interview recently. It was just that the situation had not changed but they were aware of the request and could not say anything further at the current time.

It was the same situation with female Viera, people submitted questions about them for every Live Letter and they never answered them. So maybe that's a good sign that they want to surprise us with male Viera at fanfest? I'd say so, it has precedence. I just hope they tell us they can't add male Viera before fanfests so we can calm down and no bring down the mood of the fanfests.

You all know what the energy of the last fanfest with hrothgar instead of male Viera was, a large part of the community was on fire/feeling down. It almost overshadowed that last fanfest (japan fanfest). Anyway we'll find out how confident Square enix is in XIV's logetivity; shutting down in 5 years or 10? The inclusion or exclusion of male Viera will say a lot about the game's future.

Try not to get your hopes up. They have already said there are currently no plans to add the other genders as they don't have the resources. As far as we know this hasn't changed.

I dont expect to see anything till maybe the end of the relic quest, where we meet the queen. (possibly?) Sidenote was it every explained in game why their are no female hrothgar?
