I won't mind if they decide to implement more 24 people content, but I won't expect it to happen nor do actually want it. That said, if they'll do it - I'll give it a try most likely, but if they won't - I'm fine with it.

It can be an absolute headache to navigate 8 people in extreme/savage content as it is even in farm parties when you're going with randoms, what to say about 24. And gathering 8 people static is a task as it is, as people live in different time zones and have different schedules, finding 24 people would be... eh.

If they will find a way to design it so 1 person's mistake wont affect the entire alliance, then okay, otherwise I'll pass, because when 23 people suffer because of 1, the only thing it leads to is frustration and harassment, if not bullying. It already happens from time to time in Alliance Raids, that are mostly a middle level difficulty when released, imagining having 24 people gathered in one extreme or savage level content is a nightmare.

The tuning of current 24 mans is pathetic, and I'd absolutely like to see the base difficulty brought up. People should have to play the game at an interactive level to clear content. It should not be possible to spend 90% of something afk and still win.

Copied factory has been cleared in Tank only, Healer only and DPS only groups assembled at random in PF. If you can just completely ignore the fundamental role dynamics of the game, and still clear a semi-current piece of content without much trouble in an uncoordinated pug, there's WAAAY too much wiggle-room.

Really, SE has just realized that it makes their playerbase unhappy if they can't just tpose/afk their way through their roulettes/weeklies. A huge chunk of the playerbase treats actually playing the game like it's some kind of chore they have to get out of the way so that they can get back to erping in limsa asap.

I'm not entirely certain that party/raid size is critical to the challenge/fun of the content. Like, BA doesn't really feel like it needs 48+ players, it's simply tuned to that. (evidently there was even recently a run with as few as 16(?) players that managed a clear, which sounds way more exciting) More players just seems like it means more potential mistakes. And while there is a certain bit of exhilaration from recovering from those mistakes, I don't really think it's key to the fun of the content.

I propose instead that a more crucial component is the combat rez restriction. I think this adds an extra layer of tension you just can't get anywhere else in the game. Knowing you have to learn the fight and be competent, otherwise you're so much floor decor. BA's Spirit of the Remembered also gives an RNG chance at that previous recovering from a mistake (and hopefully learning from it) exhilaration.

I think the Rathalos (EX?) fights also had a taste of this challenge/fun by restricting combat rez.

(taking this comment in the context of BA) I personally kinda find that BA is actually rather forgiving in this respect, for the most part. For all the mid-bosses, I'd say most mistakes typically only punish the individual player. It's only when you get to Ozma that you're really faced with a fight where one player can indeed wipe the entire raid. It does have its challenges, but, maybe that coordination is also an important piece for fun challenging content. But, naturally not something you'd want to have to expect from a roulette.

    Considering wipes on raids... no.

Now I know the Factory mechanics, it looks as it actually could be more difficult... except I'm not a beginner anymore. We can ignore beginners or latency problems.

And BAs runs organization is too heavy, there are too many constraints (time and team management).

Normality is just an average. I'm the weird, you're the bizarre.

I was referring to any any higher (i.e. Savage) difficulty raiding, which tend to have a mixture of DPS checks being tightened by individual punishments and others that can wipe the whole raid. The latter category does not work well with twice the number of players, and must therefore be removed or heavily adjusted.

24 man raids are fine but wish we had more than 3 per expansions as they are fun. Rabanastre on Day 1 was the most fun I’ve had with Raids in the game didn’t get the same feeling with the Copied Factory I assume because of difficulty or lackluster mechs idk

Actually 8 man dungeons are more fitting for actual raids than what we have now (just a boss standing on disc or platform), too bad they scrapped this idea. Hope someday they bring it back.

I don't think it's so much a dislike of having to do mechanics as not wanting to end up wasting 2-3 hours wiping in somewhere like Dun Scaith and having no tomes to show for it at the end. People do roulettes primarily to get capped, not to waste hours in a day for 0 reward.
