Will there be something coming to entertain us during this Lockdown?

Was just wondering if we will have any sort of Event going to happen anytime soon?
I mean... every other Game I know is doing something for their Playerbase right now (f.e. WoW is having an 100% EXP Buff and 100% Rep Buff).

My Sub is running out next week, so I was wondering if I should renew it or go play something else till X.3 will come out anytime this Year (Got delayed due to Covid19).

I would love to have an Mogry Tombstone Event or/and Gold Saucer Coin event

I'd wager that 5.3 is mostly complete - I doubt it will be delayed for very long. 5.4 on the other hand...that remains to be seen.

There's also a Live Letter on the 24th of this month with a preview of what is to come in 5.3. It's practically guaranteed that the development team will comment on the viral outbreak and their plan to work around it.

Not really sure, maybe some contest, probably the Make it Rains campaign (they usually do both the middle year between two extensions).

Will they plan something else? No idea. Technically they probably are able to make some event based on old ones or to reactivate an old event. But it is still extra work. So... We probably need to wait the Live Letter to have some kind if informations.

There's speculation it might be longer because of the ongoing situation in Tokyo due to COVID, which is currently a hotbed that doesn't seem to be slowing down. That said given the circumstances any length of time the game might be in hiatus is kinda understandable and I hope the dev's are all healthy and well through these trying times.

As for things they can do that require minimal manpower, I second the idea of doing contests or MGP events. It'd require minimal interaction from the dev team and could let them focus on staying well.

MGP Event is just a switch turning on.
Moogle Event with Mogry Tombestones could be possible as well. They could add like a new Tombestone and let you buy all the previous stuff from the Moogry Event with it^^
