Question with grand companies?

If you switch GCs you start from the beginning with that grand company in rank and seals. You will retain the rank and seals from the previous GC if you happen to go back and switch back.

Squadron will re-unlock once you hit the appropriate rank and you have to do the squadron missions to get the current max rank. I hope this helps.

I don't think you can wear GC from another GC on your squadron. TBH I never tried.

I know the Chocobo Barding from GC can only be equipped with the current GC you are in. They did away with the mix and matching of the GC barding.

You might not be able to equip it (I haven't tried), but I switched GC on one of my characters, and realised the other day that his chocobo is still wearing some of the old GC's barding. So it could just be that it doesn't automatically dequip and you can use it until you equip something else.
