I... don't even know what this is. It's not even an appeal to popularity. It's appeal to a treehouse club.
Also "large part of the community". That seems legit. I'm sure you have some numbers to back that up? Or do you deal in warm, soft speculation?
15-18 people Upvoting is apparently a Large part of the Community :/
Of course but since when is the majority even posting here in this thread for eureka?
Achievements are not content. They are mostly worthless trophy points for milestones reached in actual content. You can dip your toe and get most rewards from most parts of the game, without ever getting half of the brownie points for it. Completionists might like that, but most normal people don't go for the platinum full completion in most games.regardless if you find it fun or not its content, this game is a themepark, some ppl will have fun on something that others dont enjoy and viceversa.
I actually starting fishing legend fishes cuz im done whit all 28 relics that came on 5.25, and i have many days to get em all.
I have roughly 7k hours logged divided between accounts and characters. I have every class at 80 on this char, dipped into most content since 2.2, and I have 8k points to show for it. I very much doubt that most people have more than 10k on avg, unless they specifically go out of their way to collect them.
I don't dislike side content. But I can find better crafting or fishing games, if I have no other reason to play this one.

No one. You talk for yourself and make it universal. Pretty common but no a demonstration, only an opinion, a supposition. As soon as you don't have the real opinion of everyone, you never know.
And from what I've heard, Eureka is like fates farm in Coerthas back in ARR, not ideal but still more "MMO" than many other contents of the game. And somehow people miss it. And Eureka Discord, at least for Chaos, is still pretty lively. Eureka is like Hunt, some people are complaining but... there are active A rank farm LS.
Having running Eureka a lot, the people complaning were not the majority but random noisy folks from time to time. People will not say Eureka is formidable either but... is there only one content in FFXIV that people mark as formidable?
Altoholic
La normalité n'est que la moyenne de nos folies individuelles.
Normality is just an average. I'm the weird, you're the bizarre.
This is why i say its a themepark, some ppl have fun for example just whit savage/ultimate, some like running dungeons a lot, others like fishing, others have fun crafting all day, and so on.Achievements are not content. This game have a lot of content focused on many aspects, some will fin fun running dungeons so when they cut that those ppl will complain, in order to make everyone happy we would have to have x5 content in all types, qnd that dont seem possible whit the current sub price.
I try atleast all content offered, i can like less or more but atleast i try, for exsmple i tried once ultimate, and i fast saw that wasnt for me, but i wont complain about if they get 4 instead of 2 ultimates per expansion, even knowing i will get less content of my like.
PD: all achivements are related to content, you dont get achivements out of the blue by sitting in Limsa chatting.

Because...the topic came up and I was talking about it? I really don't know what else to tell you there.
Please. You are more than welcome to search for the Eureka feedback threads if you think I am lying or talking for everybody else. The majority did not like it.No one. The forums exists as an official and more reliable way for the dev team to receive feedback of the game. We are a small majority of the playerbase but our opinions here have power to change the course of the game. Word of mouth just like what you said in "From what I've heard" is very unreliable as feedback, because you're pretty much talking for someone else.
How many players actually use the forum? Since ARR we are several player who have noticed this. We are a minority of players who actually use the forum. A few names are really active. It is true in all forums since Internet is widespread. Just watch carefully and you will see... ten, twenty recurring names, and some bees who comes from time to time. A big thread never means there are that many players who really give voice, unfortunatly, that's all the problem. And that's why the question about an ingame survey recurs sometimes. Even 100 names remain ridiculously low. A vocicy minority don't represent the silent majority, we... can't know.

I mean I've said that. We are a minority but our opinions here are the most important and noticed because we actually participate in somewhere they can keep track of better. They could always do an in-game survey if they feel they're uncomfortable about the small feedback the forums actually give, which should've happened a long time ago.How many players actually use the forum? Even if in theory the majority of the playerbase actually likes something but the forums doesn't, there's a bigger chance the dev team will pay more attention to what's on the forums because they actually speak out their opinions and criticism somewhere it's taken into account, while there is nothing to be gained from the silent majority. That's just...how it is.
As someone who still plays DNC in FFXI since the job's release, it's not currently nor ever was a healer. It's a DPS with hybrid capabilities that include limited cures. In fights where a DNC would be using TP to heal instead of DPS, standing close enough to an enemy to build TP through auto-attacks means you're in range for a myriad of debilitating status ailments that would make main healing very difficult. It also means you're not using Saber Dance as a DPS stance since it disables the use of Waltzes (healing actions).
In the very strictly role-restricted world of FFXIV, I'm actually pretty happy with the interpretation of DNC as a hybrid class. You get actions to:
- increase HP recovery for the whole party (vs. BRD's single-target action),
- reduce damage taken by the party (common to all 3 physical ranged DPS),
- buff the damage dealt by and the critical/direct hit rates of a single party member,
- and AFAIK the only physical DPS cure, with a 300 potency AOE, comparable to AOE cures from a dedicated healer.
よろしくおねがいします~
