I actually like the design.
Honestly, if this wasn't FFXIV i would be disappointed by it, because it looks like something that you would typically find in some dungeon.

But seeing all the previous relics and the predominant metallic materials, i'm actually happy to see something drastically different this time.

My only worry is that, right now i think it's really fitting as the first step for a relic weapon ; Not extravagant, but has its personality. So it's a really good base weapon to progressively build off a real badass relic from. However, if they get it wrong, it also has the potential to become the most horrendous looking relic in the game imo.

I actually like the White Mage relic a ton. It's okay to try new things and as many have stated they really like this design. Not everything is going to match completely with your tastes.

To be slightly fair, glamour is the most important part of a relic ultimately, since its only BiS for a brief time.

But I like it personally
