Do you think we will get an FF7 remake crossover event?

As much as I want Aerith's dress from Yoshitaka Amano's original artwork of her (it's one of her alternate outfits in Dissidia), I have a greater need for the Wall Market dresses I've seen shots of.

I doubt it'd happen, but it'd be nice to be able to get all of them (yes, even Cloud's for the boys!) - Aerith and Tifa's dresses are just gorgeous, and I'd love it if Aerith's fancy hairstyle would be added in. Maybe even Cloud's pigtails.

I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. Most likely it would be in that gap between the last story patch of this expansion and the next expansion. At least that is what I would do if I was SE to entice some people to keep playing.

I wish the FF8 one was more indepth ngl. i dont see what a ff7 one would bring aside from more black leather outfits or paddle swords.

Sorry, guy. Not all of us are on the forums 24/7 to see every thread. Most recent one I found discussing it was 7 months ago. And like I said, that was at a time where they had said they didn’t want to interrupt development time on the first instalment, which is now over.

Did I strike a nerve there? Everything a new game comes out of SE there are 3-4 threads begging for a cross over. The dev team should he focused on making this game its own thing not a junk pile of references

No nerve struck. I searched for a recent discussion, didn’t find one, so made a post. You seem to be the only one upset about that while everyone else is discussing things just fine.

I believe in the dev diary it said it took them 6 months to make a boss game ready, meaning for the last FF crossover (Being FFXV) there's gonna be a bit of a wait and time taken to make something worth collaborating. And I feel like a mount/glam would be super cheap considering we have SDS Fenrir, Advent Children stuff, and FF7 minions.

I didn’t actually think of it this way, I just imagined it would be more akin to FFXIII or FFXV collabs. A proper dungeon/raid type crossover would be much better.

Yeah. The event quest will involve time ghosts that go back and stop the Calamity from ever happening.

Yoshi originally said no as he didn’t want to detract from their development time while it was in production, which is a fair understandable response. But now it’s (very nearly) out, do you think we could see an event in the future?
If so, what rewards would you like to see? The bike is already the game so would need to be a different mount. Tiny Bronco? Landbuggy? A big dancing moogle?
I hope we do see a crossover in the future, as we had it with XIII and XV once they were released.

Simply put, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake doesn't need any help promoting itself, so they won't do it. All of the other crossover events, the games themselves benefited from people playing XIV being introduced to them in minor ways; FF7:Remake doesn't need that, Square-enix knows that people's nostalgia will fuel the first release at the very least, but we might get something when part two and three come around and they want to boost sales if people are cooling to the idea of buying a AAA game three times when they only needed to pay that same price tag once for the original game.
