Right now I would be totally happy with an separate, extra-inventory just for ishgard-materials because Diadem-stuff is filling like half of my inventory.

why are you gathering all the items in there, just focus on one level range items.

You don't need to gather everything to fill your inventory in there. I totally filled mine in one trip because I was mining, picking flowers, and killing something every time I got a big gun bar. Usually the same something because I was gathering mats to level my crafters 60-80 the times this happened - because it was more than once. I've had to leave early at least twice purely because my bag got full

I spent like two hours cleaning and reorganizing my THREE retainers just to be able to actually spend the three hours in Diadem without worrying about my bag being completely full.

almost all the items you get from enemies which are not sprites are worthless low level stuff which won't give you any points, just shoot the sprites and discard the trash if you have to shoot anything else and only use 1 class on a single trip.

I'm not after points, I was leveling all of my crafting classes and both miner and botanist it shouldn't be an issue now that I've got the crafters all at 80, but it was definitely an issue when I was actually using almost all of those materials.

then you should have levelled 1 class at a time and then discarded all the leftover items and then collect them again once you need them for another class.

Why though? That just means spending even more time gathering later instead of crafting or doing anything else I'd rather be doing. I don't care about points, but the scrips were also a nice bonus because I do want the glamours and dyes. I've been trading or selling everything I didn't use and I've made back all the money I spent on crafter gear while leveling. And got to just sit and spend a few hours doing nothing but crafting my way up to 80, because I already had all of the materials I needed.

My point was that it's definitely possible to fill your inventory entirely in a run of Diadem, depending on what you're after and what your priorities are. I had to do a lot of cleaning and juggling to make it work, but it did work for me. /Shrug
