It is completely irrelevant to battle content and the like but I feel it would be a blast for random partying in cities with friends, hell when he have our own LShouses or mog houses I would LOVE to be able to hold parties in there, people eaten what the culinarians (is that even a word?) cook, people wearing nice clothes made by weavers and while dining...

I never spent so much time on an online game doing something for pure and blissful fun as I did when creating music in Mabinogi.

In LoTRO anyone could grab and instrument and jam on it, used to just load up files and play all kinds of crap, was a awesome feature.

I agree with this--the only thing that would need to be exclusive to the Bard job would be the effects granted by their music. I don't see any reason why any player of any job shouldn't be able to take up music for recreation. ^^

In any case, I totally love where this thread is going and hope this might be added, even if a long time from now.

Supersigned a thousand times. Almost all I ever did in LotRO was actually playing music, composing .abc files for playing music, and start a party for the sole purpouse of playing music as a band. lol

Using LOTRO as an example again, all classes had certain instruments to them, but I think Minstrel could tutor special ones like bagpipes to other players.
