If you can't afford the sub then you can't afford the sub. Do you want the game to go free to play? Ask for that then (I personally don't care about free to play but a lot of people here do) instead of being straight up ridiculous.

"You should cater to me because I lost my job"...you're crazy plenty of people have lost their jobs before this and will lose their jobs after this. Just before this Wayfair and a popular bank (I forgot the name) laid off hundreds to thousands of people...if they play xiv should we suspend stuff for them too? Even outside of this?

I'm so glad you have your dad's credit card to pay for your sub indefinitely while without a job. Why is it ridiculous for someone to ask for a non-destructive pause of an in-game timer but asking for the game to go free to play? You are the one being ridiculous and I pray that you never have to learn what its like to live paycheck to paycheck or be displaced from your job along with millions of other people all in the span of a single week. Grow up.

To be fair, I don't think they are insulting anyone. Not getting the entire point people are trying to make, sure, which is pretty much commonplace around here it seems and irritating to say the least, but I haven't seen them insult anyone.

Playing other games isn't going to stop your house from being demolished. Getting a house can take an extremely large amount of time, especially the larger houses. Decorating the house can be hundreds of hours spent, all of it lost because you couldn't access the game. You can also have a lot of furniture in the house and in its storage, which can create an inventory issue if you manage to even come back in enough time to not lose all of your furniture. Losing a large house and not being able to retrieve your gil from it getting demolished can be a loss of over 30 million gil as well.

If anything is ridiculous, it's that you lose all of that stuff just because you couldn't access the game for a while, even though you fully intend to come back to the game. And you lose it even if you're still paying the sub. It's a ludricrous situation the devs have created for this game.

1. Quarantines, in which means no work or school and everyone stayed home
2. Cheap monthly subscription fee that most people bill on credit card and credit card company already informed by government body for not persuading payment until June (US&Canada)
3. All of the infrastructures are in tact; this is not Hurricane or natural diseases will resulting people physically homeless
4. No landlord will be able to legally remove tenant from the property right away (long and tedious process for US&Canada) so this is not a valid excuse
5. Chinese already demonstrates that they are able to hold for 3 months without going to work, what makes us special?
6. When people ignore the quarantine and partying on the beach

If certain protections are put into place regarding the financial stability of people, then that's fine. That would help a great deal. In the US, the house and senate are currently at an impasse as to what aid they are going to offer. Like usual though, the country, its companies and its people are ahead of the game which helps. But there's still plenty of people doing without right now. And as I have said already, that is the entire point of the request being made. People will have bigger things to worry about, and pausing housing demolitions would just be a nice gesture. They aren't obligated to do so, but I think it's a reasonable request to make. Also yeah, those dang kids partying on beaches right now are NOT helping. lol
