I'm kind of failing to understand the first part of your message, are you saying players suck at the game for wanting one less ring?
Yes please, cause armory space for rings is not enough when you don’t have all your classes same level.
Why do people say “no offense” right before they’re about to offend you?
I don't care about any belt/etc shenanigans, but they definitely should double the stats on rings and reduce the slot to one. Ring management is a huge pain in the ass if you have a lot of jobs at different level ranges. Materia bonuses can be dealt with by giving rings four or five open slots and a broader ceiling on additional stats. And while they're at it, they need to strip the "unique" flag from all items and not use it anymore.
I despise the two ring slots. It does nothing but clutter up the single ring pane that you have to put 2 rings for each job.
1) Combine the rings into one bigger stat item,
2) Remove the 2nd ring all together, or
3) Remove the 2nd ring and implement something else (trinket, cape)
My only problem with rings is that the armoury chest section for them is the same size as all others even though you always need to have two rings while other slots need only one. Personally this frequently causes inventory issues in the armoury chest, so sometimes I have to put rings in my normal bags.
I like having two rings from a gearing perspective because it can give you more options. That being said it won't ruin my day if ring slots are merged into one, as long as we can still glam two different rings.
It would be nice to have cosmetic slots so we can mix and match earrings and bracelets, but that's another topic of conversation.
I miss the time when we had four ring slots and two earring slots.

That's not going to happen with the way glamours work here - they need an equipped item to attach to, or there's nowhere to store the information. (Its why you can't glamour, for example, a shirt and separate hat onto a cowl that prevents you from equipping headgear. There's nothing in the head slot for a glamour to be applied to.)
Either we keep both rings for glamour purposes and get inconvenienced while gearing, or we remove it for gear practicality and get inconvenienced when glamouring.![]()
While I get that it seems unecessary to have two ring slots, I'm not seeing why it would be necessary to merge them.
The 2nd slot may be somewhat superfluous, but it's not really hurting anything, and it provides additional materia slots to make use of.
I also can't see them doubling the value of ring stats to make up for it either, that would be very odd.

Yea I get that, they would have to change how the game reads gear and glams to be able to let us have cosmetic slots. Still would be a nice thing to have though. That's not going to happen with the way glamours work here - they need an equipped item to attach to, or there's nowhere to store the information. I would think this would be a huge issue with having dual rings take up armory space. Oddly enough, it really hasn't been and I have at least one set of rings for all available roles in the game. I think the reason is because I rarely hold onto rings for glamour purposes. The ones that I do go into the glamour dresser or armoire if applicable. Even then, I only need to put in one ring, and not the pair.
