I'm a bit confused how are people NEEDING on an off class? I thought it was need only in your class unless lootmaster changed it?
It's mostly coffers that give you gear based on the job you open them on like the ones they give you on quests now. So you can play whatever job you want, then outside open the coffer on the job you want the gear on. So everyone can need most of everything unless they already are weekly locked out.
I don't think this will happen though, the alternating odd patches are supposed to be for gearing alts. (You should be done with tome for one job after 3 months, then you get the upgrade item and use the tomes on another job) So if they give you this extra gear people will drop out more during the "catch-up" patches. Unlocking it/removing the restrictions sooner than they do now would be cool though.

Right, so its generally much later in patches, not sooner. That's why I was confused. Most people are still farming for their main class in weekly lockouts. ...and "farming" is loose since once you clear a floor you're locked out anyways, until later. It's mostly coffers that give you gear based on the job you open them on like the ones they give you on quests now. That's why making this argument is not good and confusing at best.
This argument still doesn't hold unless you're talking about later in patch cycles where people have already gotten enough on their main. PUG or otherwise.

I'm...not sure what you're trying to argue either unless you're fine and dandy with people needing coffers for a class they don't actually use for raiding with zero consideration for how geared the others in their party are.
everyone be selfish. that's the pug life. if you can clear just get your clear and then if rngesus is unkind then you'll just have to wait until savage is unlocked.
That depends on what you consider fair really. So let's say I win the waist earrings and ring on week 1. So I have these on healer now. On week 2, 3 and 4, I keep rolling on them while playing healer. I can't get the healing items a second time without being completely wasteful, so technically I'm rolling for alt jobs.Right, so its generally much later in patches, not sooner. In a pug, anything goes though. I wouldn't ask people to pass but that's just me though. They helped complete it, used their weekly lock and it's a dice roll anyway.
