The scores for MIN/BTN are probably the least volatile overall as there's no skill or significant RNG involved and the only things you can do to speed it up is having cordials to spam and enough stats to meet all of the bonus requirements on nodes. Otherwise, it's just a straight grind...which favors the botters heavily in that regard.

FSH is very RNG heavy, but I was averaging about 10 gobbiemasks a hour (Which is 15.8K points) by using Double Hook on every one I successfully hooked, using cordials on cooldown, and maximizing the number of moochable fish I got using Patience (Patience II is overkill and the longer duration is counter-productive if you're going to be using Double Hook).

I think the DoH classes probably have the most skill involved in maximizing their point gains, as while there is a lot of RNG, I find it's usually manageable enough to get max quality most of the time regardless. It's just a matter of spending your CP in a smart way that leaves as little possible left when the craft is finished and making the most of the condition changes. While it is technically possible for people to macro/bot expert recipes if they have high enough stats, the sharp point scaling as collectability increases makes turning in anything that's not maxed or close to maxed significantly less efficient and the macros I've seen barely scrape the 5K mark at best while not actually being much faster then manually getting something to max quality.

10 a HOUR? Damn, the RNG gods loved you! I am lucky if I can get 2 opportunities for double hooking in a hour, sometimes I don't see any, just constant double tugs.
And yes, I know all the tricks, I just have REALLY crap luck usually. As people say, it's ALL about the RNG in fishing no matter HOW geared you are.

yeah, even with DH, if you don't get the bite you don't get the fish. I see 3 bites an hour, plus those gobbies get away even with good gear. Those raking in 160k a DAY fishing.... sorry, I'm just not buying it.

I pull in 50k-60k every full diadem run. I'm pulling in 150k per day, while working a full time job(no coronavirus shutdown for me, working in a hospital), and was doing 200k-250k on the weekend, knowing I wouldn't have the time during the week to do more than 3 runs, max. It's all about double hooking every gobbie, and properly using your skills to maximize casts and cloud cutter mooches. Also, gobbies, and all other diadem fish, stop getting away at 2050 gathering. It's a really high number, but if you're gonna go hard, you're gonna need to go hard on melds and food too. It's not magic, it's simply knowing how to optimize the RNG you're given. When I first started I was very sub-optimal and was only doing like, 20k-30k per run, but with each day I have improved my efficiency and now I have not had a sub-50k run in the last 10 runs or so, many of those being 60k+ runs. I know people who aren't hardcore about it think it's some sort of cheap trick or something, but I assure you, it's just a matter of working hard AND working smart. If I can hit and maintain the number 1 spot on a relatively large server while working a full-time job, anyone with the will to learn the rhythm and do more than a single run a day can hit top 12 on almost any server.

You know, this explains a lot. I am not super into this by any means being only casual. My gathering is only in the 1300's so a bit low. Even my game wife, who is super into this crafting/gathering stuff, commented on how low it was for 80. Trying to overmeld is wayyyy too expensive for as little as I actually do gathering.

So if you do need scores above 2000 to be good and efficient, I guess I am going to suck doing it. ;p
