I've done this with 6 other people (forced entry after 15min elapsed) and still seen 3 rainbows and acquired the mount in that very same instance. It really is just RNG at best.
Apparently assuming this information is correct the fewer the amount of people that start the ocean fishing the higher the chance of getting a spectral round is to compensate incase it becomes dead content. So it is actually better to go in with fewer people who know what they're doing.
oh yes it is, and it's much worse actually, you just got lucky and caught maybe one of the easy big fishes just like some people got their mount on the first fishing trip.
I disagree I think ocean fishing is much more frustrating you may not and that's fine but when I personally weigh everything I personally think ocean fishing is more frustrating just having to rely on other people alone is a massive hassle. If I could queue by myself or with a group of like 6-7 as spectral chances increase then yes ide consider big fishing to be harder/more frustrating. I wouldn't instantly assume someone got lucky with one "easy big fish" that's just silly to even assume.
