    For some reason, I'm not able to go back into the Phrontistery after having left it. Is there a step I'm missing? I did the main quest and I want to do the repeatable but I don't see the NPC that lets you in.

    I've just checked - the alchemist is still at the door for me, and lets me in if I speak to him.

    I just checked again and either I'm blind or he did disappear temporarily, but looks like he's there now. All is well!
