This, I simply can't imagine SE locking you out of one Job. It does against the system in the first place.
Any new job beyond what has already been announced should have its own Class.
having to pick between PLD and DRK is stupid.
Thf does not work with either PGL or ARC anymore.
As long as they don't turn dual guns into some ridicolous Matrix-y overblown jump around and twirl in circles while doing back flips I'm all for it.
That would actually require some effort though.
I believe THF would be best like this:
Scout -> Thief (DPS)
???
Archer should really get a dedicated DPS Job with the bow, like Ranger. But like I said, I won't really say much until we get a better translation.
I seriously doubt this, but mental images of lalafel jumping backwards shooting dual pistols in slow motion just made me chuckle.
I think thief works just fine as a branch of archer to be honest.
This guy even has Quick Nock

You guys need to remember that jobs are just an extension of the Class they come from. Would you really want to play a thf that had pugilist or archer abilities and some steal/mug dagger ws thrown on top ?
It's just sloppy, I think as a community we really need to make the case that Classes first is the way to go.
If THF turns out to be a ranged class I'll be pretty pissed. I know other games have Thief like classes that specialize in archery, but it's not really FF-like in my opinion. I'd much rather see daggers taken away from GLA and given to a new scout class which branches off into THF and other similar jobs.
I also strongly disagree with PLD > DRK and not being able to revert back to PLD. Hopefully it's a mistranslation.
If they dont make new classes for new job, they will have to make a New Job for Every Class, which would be alot more work.
Also, Jobs aren't leveled up, they use the base classes level. That means there would be no added Playtime from linking these jobs to existing classes.
