Remove the Expert Roulette Penalty For Leaving Pre-formed Parties

I don't know if this applies to other roulettes, but currently there's a penalty for leaving expert roulette in a pre-formed party.

It doesn't really seem like a big deal but it's not something you would exactly expect since it only applies to roulettes so if you want to leave and re-enter for whatever reason because it's a pre-formed party so you have the freedom to, you're in for a nasty surprise.

That restriction is probably in place to prevent pre-made parties from fishing for the dungeon they want, negating the point of a Roulette being a Roulette.

It is, it wasnt in originally and was added precisely for this reason

This is completely understandable, though we had an issue with this earlier for a (very rare) non-exploitative reason... leader accidentally queued while we were still figuring out roles, so we got into a leveling with 3 dps and a tank and weren't equipped to handle it, so someone had to take the loss and leave first. Still don't think the system needs to change though, leader just made a rare mistake.

If someone wants a specific dungeon then Roulette isn't what they should be using, full group or not.

In a serious note I didn't know this was a thing, but I can see how it could be in place due to people dungeon fishing. I'm sympathetic to the people that make an honest mistake here but on the other hand "we can't have nice things" etc.

This was added intentionally due to people trying to cheat the system and reroll the roulette until they get the dungeon they wanted.


Get into the habit of ready checking beforehand so you can confirm everyone is on the classes you want. Remember also that if you withdraw from a ready DF queue with a full premade you don't get one of your 3 "strikes" for the day.

Rather than penalizing people for leaving roulettes so they can re-queue (let's face it - many do it anyway and just wait through the timer), it would be better if they just let the game server memorize what duty it gave you doing the roulette.

If you quit, RNG for any subsequent queues is disabled and you continue to receive the same duty until you see it completed. People with pending unfinished duties cannot queue with other people with pending unfinished duties unless it is the same duty.

It's faster to finish Amaurot as a premade than to take the punishment to abandon the roulette.
