SE, can we please have new/ longer hairstyles?

Hmm? Odd question. If everyone wants to look the same then I don't much care, they gonna do what they gonna do. We also like like 3 new long hairs last expac that they can use if they don't want to look like others.

Not saying people shouldn't want new long hair, just that this game really doesn't come out with new hair often so currently 1/3 (soon to be 1/4) of the new hairs we've gotten this expac are long. The devs are still going down the list of contest winner/ runner up hair that the playerbase voted on which is why we keep getting short/ med hair. Tis also seems to be why they sometimes make up new long hair the rare times they make new hair that isn't connected to that list.

I want a long high ponytail that doesn't have the long side bits that the one Viera ponytail has
Plain ol long ponytail, short in the front with maybe some short bangs

Or just look at the character-editor and tell me what you see. Do you think that short / shoulder-length hair is a minority...?

On a sidenote: With my main being for years an Au Ra and following to that 2 years a Lala, I ended up using all the time a handful of hairstyles - since the majority of haircuts were too / just short in my opinion. And that thought hasn't changed while I toy around with my alts. Even with these magical Lalaheads that visually make even shorter styles a tad longer, I feel some cuts should exist in a longer version as well.

Also, what about more ponytails? Braids? Buns?

Plus, as something I haven't seen being mentioned for ages... Anybody in for the hairstyles of Serah, Vanille and Fang from FFXIII...?

I just want a plain ponytail. No giant chunk of hair over the face, no extra Nike swoosh, no extra curls or braids or bangs or.... Just a ponytail.

No, cause I can't remember all the patches and expacs in this game like a dang robot but I can remember this expac where it took us like 6months to get a single new hair after the release of SB and the 2 hairs that gave us. I can already tell you that IF I looked it up I'd find tons of short/ mid hairs from that 1 hair design contest that the player based voted for along with some originals. Outside of that braided up doo all the long hairs releases after that contest were the devs original creations cause they know whats up.

Like I said, the problem is that they're very slow with making and releasing new hair styles (I'm sure it's partly cause they don't monetize them like GW2. They are more so seen as rare rewards for big content to get people interested and keep people grinding) so we're still getting hair from this player voted contest where players ignored long hair styles in favor of voting to the best art.

I believe after the new hair tonight/ tmr we're gonna get this in a few months. All in all, I expect people to be disappointed for some time cause I don't really see anything that makes me think they're gonna speed up the rate at which they add hair.

I love short hair and Femroe got the single longest style in the game (if I wanna do that) as a racial so I'm good, just saying that any hair complaining is gonna be something you're not gonna be happy about for a looong time.
Hope they make a new contest at the end of this expac so people who want long hair can make it happen.

I still remember the days when we use to get 4 new hairstyles per patch directly to our collection and not locked behind stuff. Those were the days.
