I wonder if Netflix fishing is why I have yet to see 3 spectrals in a single run. Watching other people fish I can't always tell how engaged and/or effective they are with the content.

Ocean Fishing has its own problems that we can talk about and even there it’s still more engaging because there are changing factors within the instance. Even then Ocean fishing has rewards to look forward to, normal fishing you have to do even less, deal with even more RNG and get even LESS reward. Ocean Fishing is NOT the big problem right now but it does need some fixing.
Thank you for your input, support this and let’s bring attention to this issue.

I'm curious what your compulsion to do it is if you don't enjoy the thrill of finally catching a difficult fish, and would prefer have it changed to be so forgettable.

Personally I would get no enjoyment from big fishing if it was 100% catch rate under the right time/weather conditions; we already have Sightseeing Log for that.

The changes you proposed would make sense to me for specific fish that are used for crafting, but big fishing is very much providing the intended challenge for those who enjoy it. I would hate to see it change.

I do not want %100 catch rate as I said. As a matter of fact none of my solutions say that they have a %100 catch rate, obviously that destroys the whole process. I just don't want "luck" to be as much of a factor, because luck is not a challenge. Now again there has to be a way to balance this, if you are going to make some of these fishes difficult, at least make them rewarding. Like why the hell was Sea Butterfly difficult?? You don't even get an achievement for that dumb Sh***. Hey Realm Reborn gave you stuff at least right?

Let me use Warden as an example once again because I actually think Warden is rewarding since now you can place him in the Aquarium which is pretty cool.
I attempted to catch 3 indigo fishes(not rare) and only got 2 because lolrng, thats at least another 45min of literally waiting and watching Netflix. WOW what a challenge!! Hey next window comes around and holy snap I got the intuition buff for 2min, the dumb(smart?) bastard bites MAYBE twice and when he does it's LOLRNG%20 didn't catch and I have to spend either another wonderful 45min waiting for next window or hey maybe it's another day, maybe when you are at work, you get the point.
Just adding the intuition change I mentioned would fix this you don't have to make it %100 catch or anything.
Let's be honest too, Ocean fishing with all the BS it got, it's every 2 HOURS that you have a chance to catch whatever fish you'd like from there!! No waiting, no Netflix.

Regular fishing you just pop Netflix, pop your Datamined info and wait sometimes for literal hours, maybe even days! All in hopes that RNGOD gives you a good dice roll! NOT FUN

You can put it on a canvas and display it as a rare trophy in your house. It's the only fish that looks like it, iirc.
