For weather,

For the Sightseeing Log specifically,
https://tylian.net/sslog/
https://ffxiv.ariyala.com/SightseeingLog

The ARR ones were great and it is currently missed.

To not utilize such options would be like asking someone who's having trouble with big fish to not have https://ff14fish.carbuncleplushy.com/ on hand.
(It's also a segue into getting back on topic.)
On the subject of the Sightseeing Log:
On one hand, I'd agree. Having to put some effort into it, along with rewarding more than just a title, increased my interest in completing the ARR ones. On the other hand, log entries like #009, #039, or #048 were very frustrating to get.

To get back on topic of big fishing:
While it's definitely frustrating to have a big fish getting away a few times (or sometimes way more than a few times), I don't think that should see any change. Fishing has always been more of a side content thing, just for players to do who enjoy it (or who hate themselves, but really want to complete that log anyway!)

However, I do think they should at least increase the minimum possible time window to 3-4 Eorzean hours. These fishing windows that are only 1-2 Eorzean hours long are just cruel, especially if it's combined with a slippery big fish (I'm looking at you, The Assassin).
