    Yeah, didn't really consider that when thinking about the merges. On the bright side, maybe it'll get people out of Ul'dah and populate the other Market Wards (you heard me Brine and Kindling, go back to your own cities). Maybe the other empty wards were just a question of "not enough people to make space an issue."

    Hey, the players asked them to not reset wards/they crashed too much. If it's a fail on anyone..it's not SE lol. Ward reset cleared emptied/no longer used retainers quite regularly.

    The problem isn't the market ward concept but rather SE's implementation. Whatever designer thought it was an okay idea to have retainers sitting all over the bloody floor for seven days with no upkeep needs to be fired yesterday. What a horrible idea.

    Market wards need to A) REQUIRE stalls for all merchants and B) automatically spawn one or two extra shards per wards as needed. There also needs to be some sort of incentive to plant your retainer somewhere besides Ul'dah.

    Market wards are a nifty idea, but a horrible implementation. unfortunately, first impressions stay with people, which is likely why they're being forced towards the AH model.

    It's not unlike the AH in XI, the only one that most players tended to use was the Jeuno/Tavnazia/Whitegate system, as those were the areas that people would frequent. In XIV, most people have decided that Ul'dah is the hub, with 2 retainers per player, I could see how that could quickly become an issue.

    What I dislike the most is that you get kicked back to main menu after each purchase. I bought three Aquamarine rings yesterday and it sucked having to go through the menus three times to get them. And then there's the lag after each purchase...

    Anyway, I'm sure the following patches will streamline the wards and the search function a bit, as it all feels very half-done as it is.

    I got excited when I learned that I can buy from search funtion. but after trying it few times I went back to walking to the retainers themselves.

    The game freeze that happens after the purchase is very long and annoying, not to mention the case where I need to buy multiple stacks.

    Maybe 70% of the wards are full in Uldah on Mysidia. On the verge of completely lame but nothing can be done until server's fixed in 2.0 (hopefully)
