FFXI forums were always "you pay a sub, you get to be on the forums" so I thought everyone knew that's the way the XIV forums would be also since they are literally the same forum layout( 100% the same one just says XI and one says XIV.) This way is better, if you don't pay for the game than stfu no one cares what you have to say. We don't care about you unless we have your money, thats fine with me. means my opinion hold more weight.

Yeah both forums are the same lol, it's a bit weird with XI's though and seems to ignore content IDs at times.

I resubbed shortly after the F2P bit ended (side note:I wasn't playing right up to that point, I just happened to decide to check in on Eorzea with the Crysta points I had left over from the launch period, and now I'm OMGWTFAddicted @_@)

When I tried logging into the forums before I re-subbed, it said I hadn't logged in for 30 days. The day after I subbed, it still thought I hadn't logged in when I had logged in the second I resubbed (literally, had the launcher open with info typed in waiting to hit Log-in )

Two days later, it let me log in. This is my first post of the day, but it's been saying my Cnj is level 27, when I've been 30+ for about a week now.

Nope both XI and XIV up to now were "you have to own a character that logged on in the past 30 days in order to be allowed to post". It had nothing to do with your current sub. And even if you had a sub but was inactive, you couldn't post.

I could still post on the XI forum while my sub was canceled, same for XIV. Eventually all non XIV subscribers would have been kicked out around Feb 4th~5th anyway.
