Totally uncalled for. But I'm sure you got your jollies in by typing this.
To the OP, I agree with another poster. If you know you did nothing wrong, then chalk it up to the party you had as being jerks and get into another party.

To add to this, a small communication when duty starts goes a long way and will prevent these conflicts. Many otherwise passive-agressive players will turn friendlier and offer advices if you say you are new. In PotD you can ask if they don't mind if you get some silver chests for upgrades (they'll usually say they don't mind even if they prefer a faster run).I'm going to respond as if this post was made in good faith.
Here's a better option: Stop worrying about it, and join a new PotD and get on with your life. The moment you stop trying to make sure everyone gets theirs for the slightest perceived transgression against you, the happier your gaming will become.
Are there jerks in the world? Sure; but right now, you are letting those three from the PotD group live rent free inside your head. Dust yourself off, join a new group, get on with your day and do a little more leveling through PotD.

It's better to have a sense of humor about things instead of being uptight. Their comment was silly and not worth being upset over. Take a chill pill.
Well, that's rather strange. Some posters are happy to give the original poster the benefit of the doubt and assume she did absolutely nothing wrong - but then when a different poster makes a playful joke, they assume it was made with vicious intent. How odd!
Some of you saying you report people often, may I ask why?
I think in all my years gaming I’ve reported maybe one person. It was in Aion I think around 2009ish. I was playing on a PvP server and these two guys ganked me. One of them then started talking trash. He let loose with some homophobic slurs.
For some reason it really got to me and I reported him. I got a message from a GM saying the guy was suspended. Don’t know if that was true. But anyway, that’s the last time I reported anyone.
Most of the time I just get on with my life.

A lot of people will not stick their heads above the parapet due to how vague the TOS are and how open to GM interpretation they can be. Whether or not that aligns with the reality of how GMs enforce them, it is nonetheless how a lot of players perceive the situation. Between those who can't handle criticism and bad faith actors, it's easier just to silently remove people...
The OP is sparse on details, and I can think of several reasons why someone might be removed from POTD, with the most common being chasing chests when the party mainly wants a fast clear, and the other being rushing into rooms and triggering traps. The OP may think there's nothing wrong with that but other players are not going to share that view. Usually for someone to just be removed on the final floor, it would suggest they behaved particularly egregiously. Of course there may be other reasons but we will never know and hopefully a GM will get to the bottom of it.![]()

When the game's story becomes self-aware:

There's likely more to this story that we will never know, and we'll never know how it ends, but to borrow an image from an earlier user:A lot of people will not stick their heads above the parapet due to how vague the TOS are and how open to GM interpretation they can be. Whether or not that aligns with the reality of how GMs enforce them, it is nonetheless how a lot of players perceive the situation. This is basically all that is LIKELY to happen. It doesn't mean something else would be done, but I can't see them doing much else. Also, people are so report happy now, in game, that I wouldn't be surprised if a quiet vote kick goes out and someone is removed without a word. If you question DPS, they'll assume parser. If you question healers or tanks they're likely to be ornery or upset at the accusation. It's a no-win situation. So the better option is to silent kick.
Hate to break it to you, chief, but no ones getting punished for leaving groups of their own volition. You cant control other players leaving groups, whether it annoys you or not.A single report might not but repeat offenses will. There's no harm in flagging an account with a report if they do something wrong. I've had people join fourth floor savage parties only to get the unlock and jump ship leaving the other 7 people to queue in PF again. Reporting them wouldn't lead to much since those players could always claim something "came up" but after a few reports that no longer holds up as an excuse. If anything you should report in these scenarios.
It means you were in a party with a bunch of jackholes.I was doing Palace of The Dead, and when I got to fight the boss, in the middle of battle i suddenly got black screen and then in log there was written "You have been dismissed from both the party and the duty.". I didn't get anything from instance.
What does that mean?
