Yeah, the flaws being their proportions. I think if elezen looked more like the high elves from tera online, they'd be more popular.
Since female viera looked like a better proportioned female elezen, I'm sure male viera would be designed in a similar way. Basically, male viera would be a better proportioned male elezen. I think this is probably the most likely outcome, if we get male viera at all, and it's also the outcome I'm hoping for. Aside from fixing the proportions, I'd like to see a little less bulk on the biceps, and it would be perfect in my opinion.
Elezen men are quite well-built, thankfully, so I think that will be reflected in viera men too. Urianger has biceps that are pretty beefy and a muscle slider would be a good compromise to appeal to a broader variety of players.
It seems like female viera are a little shorter and smaller than female elezen. (I think female viera has less broad shoulders, but it could be that elezen heads are just too small) It's likely that male viera will also be a little shorter and smaller than male elezen. Elezen are well-built, which is why I'd like to see male viera biceps just a tad smaller. I don't think there will be a muscle slider, as that slider slot will probably be used up by an ear slider.
Don't we have enough well-built body types in this game? Rise up and support the wave of Big Chungus! True diversity means adding a fat option to the game.
As adorable as the imagery is, and as much as I'd love it for body diversity, (I mentioned support of this in another thread) I think if we do somehow end up getting a fat/chubby body type, I don't think a Male Viera would be the right fit.
As unlikely as it would be to get another race, I think it would do better on the Bangaa, the Seeq, and the Nou mo (I'm sure I botched the spelling)
Yes, yes we do. I think all the male characters aside from lalafell are pretty well built personally. Including miqo'te, hyur, and elezen.
Although elezen is tall, so it kinda gives the illusion of being slim, too.
So I definitely think we could use a more slender character. I wish elezen could be that character, but they are the least played for a reason.
When it comes to character customization, I'm all about diversity. I know some people would argue against having diversity for the sake of diversity, and while I can agree with that sentiment in certain facets of life, I don't agree when it comes to character customization. There should be a variety of choices for players. This includes having a beast race like hrothgar.
I support the addition of hrothgar, and after thinking it over, I think it was a good call to add both female viera and male hrothgar. We lacked a tall and graceful/elegant female character that looked good and had proper proportions - female viera filled the niche female elezen failed at. We lacked a beast-race in this game - male hrothgar filled that void.
I do have some concerns with how hrothgar was implemented - the hair being tied to the face and all. It was for this very reason I began to think male viera would have been the better choice instead of hrothgar. But what's done is done. I was never against having a beast race. There was a demand for it, and it fills a niche. I just don't like the hair being tied to the face.

I looked up those high elf males from TERA, not into it. I mean, I guess there is a certain demographic that wants to play feminine men. Overall, they wouldn't look good though.Yeah, the flaws being their proportions. I think if elezen looked more like the high elves from tera online, they'd be more popular.
