There's also outside of games channels like discord or psn party which the GM wouldn't really be able to check either. A report will basically do nothing
A report will put a nice red flag on their accounts if they kept doing it and people repeatedly reported.
Even though we only know 1 side of this, let's say OP is 100% innocent and the players initiated a griefing tactic. The fact of the matter is, there was disruption of play, which is against ToS.
Considering that people are kicked for not doing aoe rotations on mob groups and nothing happens in those situations, I think it's pretty fair to say that a report here will end with nothing happening. Heck, people have kicked others out at the end of dungeons to give their friends free clears and nothing happened. I think the only way it'd add up to anything is if the person had a long history of reports for commonly kicking people.
Were you one of the players that either, ran to clear every room because you wanted every chest and every mob dead or someone who just didn't participate at all? These are by far the most common reason this happens from what I have observed.
What if they wanted or needed the upgrades tho?
Garuda is on a Japanese datacentre. Are you able to communicate effectively in Japanese? If not, that might explain why you were silently removed.
They'd have to know to say that though. Let's be real here, most players don't even know the daggum Lodestone even exists, so I doubt they gonna go out of their way to read through all the ToS, without any tl;dr version.
That's assuming a GM even bothers enough to contact the offending player(s). I don't expect most to read that, but I bet that without proof of malicious intent, the GM's won't even slap the offending player's wrist. Not without reason.
Nope I have got ones banned for miss using the kick function before. Unless its for one of options listed and you kick someone for something other than those you can get in trouble for it.
Can I ask where you get that information from? You must know from personal experience multiple cases of people abusing the vote kick system without repercussions, so could you share some examples? Without naming-and-shaming, of course.Considering that people are kicked for not doing aoe rotations on mob groups and nothing happens in those situations, I think it's pretty fair to say that a report here will end with nothing happening. Though I find this funny that reporting people for griefing apparently does nothing but people are so afraid to even speak for fear of being perma-banned because they said a Bad Word. Interesting that it can somehow be both.
