Yes I believe this is the point I'm beginning to arrive at myself. I mean the 40 seconds of 5% damage is massive to the group, but I'm just getting tired of the other random dancer being random.
side note: I get it, but I didn't want to bite.

Clemency is a very powerful tool in the right situation. One of my favorite things in dungeons is when the healer goes down and I get to try and keep myself and whatever dps are still alive up, either through the end of the fight or if there's a rdm/smn, until they can get a res off. More than once I've been the last person standing in a dungeon, or a couple times O12 normal, and kept myself up using my cooldowns and clemency and it's just a blast to do. Kind of a shame it requires things going poorly in the party to do, so it's not something you get to do very often. The Twinning.
I went as MCH, the other DPS was a DRG and the tank was a PLD. I don't remember what the healer was as they disconnected very early on. We waited for him to return and in the meanwhile decided to make our way through the dungeon, with the PLD doing an impressive job at keeping himself alive even without a healer. We figured we'd try the boss ourselves and we succeeded. Clemency is very powerful and he kept not only himself alive but also the other DPS and myself! We never actually spoke to each other through the dungeon, it just turned into an impromptu challenge run. We did the rest of the dungeon in the same manner and didn't even wipe once.
I thought it was pretty cool and it definitely inspired me to invest in PLD again.
Tbh the aggro problem only happened with that boss. For the rest it was the healer playing the wannabe tank on purpose.
I've just stopped caring. It'll always happen. Eventually you'll it split apart enough to where it doesn't overlap. Not gonna disrupt my own DPS flow over a buff in a pug.I've been bouncing of others rants here, but I haven't had a reason to rant about my own in a while now.
So...
Getting paired with another Dancer in the Copied Factor bugs me a bit now. Past couple couldn't seem to be consistent with their technical steps. Yeah mechanics and all that, I get it.. the last Dancer though was a trip. This one would start her technical step *every time* I used mine. Didn't matter how long I would hold it(I hate doing this) waiting for them...
Reminder.
1. They don't stack.
2. I think the other that has been overwritten doesn't gain Esprit from everyone, just their partner still
It helps to think of it like you're still providing the full benefit to your party even if they override your Tactical Step and they're the ones who are not by wasting their ability.
I got Aurum Vale in roulette playing WHM. I like AV, I don’t mind getting it. The DRK pulled the first 3 mushrooms and when 1 remained they ran ahead and pulled 3 groups. Wipe! I let them know they can’t do big pulls if they don’t use their defensives. So they tried again to sneak by the second nix but pulled it along with the roamers and those flower things. He kept running to the boss room out of range annnd second wipe. One more try, he doesn’t run too far but at this point I realize the DPS are single targeting and the tank is running in and out of bile. Third wipe and I’m out. Sorry guys, I like AV but I don’t like headaches!
There have been times when on one of my healers and a tank is single targeting a stack of mobs... I will just start spamming holy and regens or gravity and regens and all kinds of stuff and grabbing up all the aggro and then healing myself...

The new Anamanawhatever dungeon? And by 2nd boss, you mean K-clops? Is he killing people? That surprises me a little(ok, a very little) because its like the 5th cyclops boss we've fought at this point. He does the attacks that coincutter used back in aurum vale(swipe, swing, glower - all with basically the same names and all of which have been used by multiple cyclopses). Then he has... two? "new" attacks. There was the donut aoe(which had like a cyclony name? - but a donut aoe isnt new), and there was the swords/axes move which is basically lifted from the Belias fight in Ridoranna. Unless im forgetting something, nothing there should be a terror to a group of level 80s. I certainly havent been part of any wipes to it at the very least.
Short story. Capping my tomes monday night an hour before reset(i was lazy this weekend), did one last expert run for the week. Ended up in Cosmos with a new tank(who did say it was his first time)... whos class escapes my memmory(me on BLM, WHM and BRD for the group). He's pulling one group at a time, which does seem wasteful in a group with this much AoE potential, but theres no need to rush since an hour is WAY more time then we'll need for Cosmos. His positioning isnt fantastic, so he loses a few enemies to me over the course of the run because they arent getting hit by his attacks. I run anything loose into the pack and continue to flare the world. Nothing special on the first boss. During the second boss i noticed that he wasnt trying to move any seeds, but we only had one add to deal with so again not a huge deal. Last fight the healer warns him about the mortal flame mechanic. He either panics or wasnt paying attention, because he doesnt do it and dies. Im now tanking the boss. Immediately pop my shield to give the healer a moment to get a res off on the tank. He gets back up, gets healed, and starts... attacking the boss? It takes him most of a minute to get aggro off of me(luckily the boss isnt using any tankbusters during this part of the fight - just auto attacks roomwides and charges), and for the next spin or two of my rotation im close to taking him back. Am i wrong that provoke plus his normal rotation should have solved this within a GCD or two? Props to the healer for keeping me up. We still finished in close to a normal time(probly 5 minutes slower then usual), so well within my hour time limit. It just kinda struck me how long i was BLM tanking with him standing in melee range and swinging his sword.
Yep, it's that one. And it's indeed (mostly) the sword/hammer mechanic that kills people. Out of like...6 runs so far? Only in one people din't die, I think. or maybe in none? I can't recall well. Honestly I had a lot of trouble with it too at first, but going with Trust either you learn or you don't get completion. While instead I imagine some people got carried a lot and didn't bother learning. The new Anamanawhatever dungeon? And by 2nd boss, you mean K-clops? Is he killing people? That mechanic killed Alphinaud, you know. I was happy Alisaie was there. I suspect she will not let him live it down, until he reminds her of that time in Hominster Switch where she decided doing her LB in the boss AoE was smart.Yep, it's that one.
