Also related put less piety on crafted gear, 2k4 piety is depressing, at this point we can almost cut lucid out from our skills.

It's a throw away stat, especially for WHM who basically never struggles with MP.
In fairness, they really wanted to make piety a thing this tier, from what I've seen, every healer weapon had piety on it. The only healer that kind of needs it is AST, and for them they only need to hit a certain threshold, the other 2 are fine with bare minimum.
Same, I tend to stack Piety pretty heavily for progression as it does make quite a noticeable difference early on =(

I like the theory that the piety is a way to indirectly nerf WHM's damage. Even if it only maths out to be like 50 dps.
Or make Piety a more valuable stat for healer instead.
Just like Tenacity increase by a very small amount : healing received/damage done/reduce damage taken
Make piety increase healing/damage by a smaller amount than DET.
This way, even PIE build for prog and beyond could be a thing depending on your playstyle/your party/the content
Having to play as Noct AST, I really like having that extra piety without crying of the lack of MP because of raise, so I kinda disagree, even if it's true WHM doesn't need as much.
The gear system in this game should get finally reworked out of QoL reasons and should allow players to CHOOSE for them self which Stat Builds the gear shout have.
Look at GW2 legendary gear, there you can switch out the Stats of your equipment out as you like, giving the player the neccessary customization freedom that in regard of this all MMORPG's should provide to the player.
Whats so difficuld to add to all equipment items a openable Drop Down Menu with slider, where the player can then choose out of a selection of options, which Stat Build you want to setup for your items and make this then always changeable while being outside of combat, like for DPS
Set 1 > CON, STR, CRT, DRH
Set 2 > CON, STR, DRH, CRT
and two others with DET and two with QUI and expand this till all relevant Stats for the Job got combined with each other with each of them being the third stat spot after the second job based DPS Stat
Aside of that needs to be finally added a DPS Role Stat, lets say CON, for concentration, that give DPS a significant Boost to Movement and Attack Speed, compared to Tanks n Healers.._ when I see how slow Auto Attacks are from Monks n Ninjas is a DPS Role Stat definetely needed n just fair, that all roles should have 1 unique Stat.
FF14 would definetely make much more fun with on the fly Stat Changes as you like or think it's needed, before tackling on a stronger target
I really like this idea. Right now, outside of progression and AST (and if you want piety for progression you can always meld it, and it being on crafted gear is also alright) piety it is almost useless. Like accuracy was when you were over the cap. It becoming like tenacity would make it not useless at least. Right now it's almost like there's only one substat on items with piety on it. It has to be changed somehow. I'm not sure if SE is able to though because it would mean they need to "balance" healers again...Or make Piety a more valuable stat for healer instead.

Maybe for the next expansion.
