Sadly you will find very few folks on the forums who agree
It's clear you didn't read any of the comments here as most have offered ways to look for improvement. As far as I've seen, no one claimed they were lazy and no one said they should quit. Stop conjuring falsehoods and actually find ways to improve instead of playing the victim.

It's clear you didn't read them either as pretty much everyone has told the OP to 'git gud' or stop playing. I'm also confused as to how you infer that I personally am not trying to improve and that I am 'playing the victim'? Perhaps you miss the irony of this? You are in fact doing what I said most on the forums do.

"Git good" literally means "you gotta improve" - it might not be the most polite way of saying it, but it is the actual solution to the issue here. I also don't see how it's odd to suggest that somebody should perhaps quit a video game, if they pretty much state they don't enjoy, well, the video-game-part of the video game.

Perhaps you could point me towards where the OP said they didn't like the video-game-part of the game? Or where I said it, for that matter? I love this game, I have been playing it since release. Before that I played XI since its release in the U.K. And all the other FF games with my children as they grew up. I have raided in the past and constantly tried to improve. But I am getting old now. I mean actually old, to the point where physical capability is impaired to a degree. But I do not wish to stop playing this game that I love. I don't do content - except with friends who know my age and my current capabilities - where I am likely to be a burden on other people. But I will argue - and continue to argue until I'm blind and gaga - that no one should be locked out of basic story content because a lack of ability. Optional dungeons and other optional content, fine. But not the story.

And if you get those people in your roulette because you get an MSQ dungeon, by all means offer advice if you genuinely want to be helpful. Ask for a vote dismiss if you must, if the majority of the other folks agree, you'll get your way. Leave if you don't get your way. Or bite your lip and put up with 10-15 minutes longer than you'd hoped. Or even stop using the duty finder where you are forced to put up with people of all abilities

Never said anything about you so idk how is that relevant. Idc either.

As for OP though - content requiring player to complete certain tasks in order to progress is "the video game part of the video game". Completing the tasks is the main ingredient that makes it a game, even a simplest one. There are other parts, like story, art and social aspects, but those are not exclusive to the medium, nor are they actually necessary to qualify.
The OP is unhappy that the video game "dares"(OP's own, literal words) to require them to complete anything - admitted that even lowest difficulty level in solo instances is too much to ask of them to be "acceptable" - because they just "want to enjoy the story". If story is the goal and content an annoyance, then watching a video on Youtube, seems like the logical solution - all the story, none of the struggle.
