It's time (Option to Hide other players Glamour)

If players were allowed to set their party's glamour to the default AF gear, this would solve that problem.

I main a sch and very often sch gear has super short skirts for females.

What if I glam myself to not be viewed this way? What if I am a person who does not want someone to zoom in on the skin my unglammed gear reveals? Does your need for a perfect unglammed world trump my need to not want to look like anything that could attract a particular type of attention I don't want?

Do I have to play a male character to make sure that another player cannot view me in a way that allows them to ogle revealing gendered outfits?

and that is what reporting tools are for.

if its outside the game and on some other form of media, i'd have to question why you'd "choose" to be there in the first place if it would habituate such people.

Ya know, I've known people in mmos to actually wear low level vanity gear because the game itself has no system for glamouring.

Imagine non-ilevel content in which your tank will wear level 1 items to bypass this. Kick them, sure. But if the vote doesn't go through, or the healer vouches for them, enjoy your 50 minute run or waiting an hour because of penalty+DPS queue times.

All because someone can't stomach self expression.

No sorry that's not enough for me. You see I don't like how the forum looks when I have a person blacklisted. It distracts from what I believe the overall aesthetic of the forum should look, because it stands out too much. It interferes with my experience here by being disruptive to my personal taste. It has to be changed into something more appealing to blend in.

EDIT: if I look unreasonable here, then this is how those who want to block glams look when they complain about the fashion choices of other people not being good enough for them. Enjoy viewing yourselves from another perspective.

The problem being from the perspective of someone being blacklisted NOTHING CHANGED. They can still post. They can still see my posts. I just will never ever respond to them again. You argue from the perspective of being able to know both sides and you wouldn't. The whole point of this is so that people who don't like particular fashions or combinations of glamours have an option that doesn't involve petitioning on a forum to NOT have a certain thing or kicking people out of dungeons who don't meet their standards.

All the arguments against any particular glamour being implemented would be moot since the player would be in total control over whether or not they had to view them.

How about this:

You pug a world first, everyone is taking screenshots but when posted, your character is censored out. The more popular streamer you happen to have had in your pug post the screen shots, but you can't prove it was you or that you were even there.

What if you are the only in the in the pug not part of the group... and it was done maliciously?

How do I report a person who posts an uncompromising screenshot of my character on a third party site? It is very easy to hide your own name with a quick trip to ms paint.
