beastmaster next job

I like see beastmaster as the next limit job aswell the test bed job. why do I think it should be a test bed job aswell a limit job. first off the need for a job for SE to test pet system and improve other pet jobs. is need. how I like see beast master kind like vanilla wow pet jobs with a whip use for combat I for one would love see improvement made on summoner and scholars. if you look at my post history I first want see summoner improve I even give ideals for it. enough said

Limited jobs is a failed experiment.

Instead of trying to conform to a jobs identity from a game they made decades past, if they do add jobs like that kind of thing, it should be given its own identity and not forced to live up to some magical nostalgic sense of similitude, as we've seen with blue mage, that simply doesnt work.

That being said, i really hope SE takes a step back at the backlash with Viera and Bluemage, and actually try and make their own decissions for once instead of just conforming to popular requests, let them be original.

Only FF11 has precedent of BST being a pet job as well, if you were to take an approach more akin to ff5 then imagine a dps or tank, but almost all of their gcds/ogcds summon a monster into the arena for an attack then they bounce.

first off limit job aren't a failure. limit jobs are niche jobs for player who like something else. and yes I have blue mage on two of my character one is lvl 53 and other 51. blue mage is design for player who like blue mage so it can feel like blue mage. yes I want bst so that you go out tame pets and lvl them up and raise them for combat and so they fight along side of blue mage. limit jobs aren't a failure they only a failure to people on the genarel forum who don't spend enough time in game who want every job to be like wow class

at one point I felt same way yet I realize that use bst as way to improve summoner and build better pet jobs and make job like summoner better

What about Tactics Advanced where it literally revolved on charming random beasts to do anything? I even remember BST having a buddy relationship with BLU where you charmed certain beasts and force it to you use a move so the BLU can learn it. I'd ike it if that dynamic gets translated here.

And keeping with TA, BST can even borrow the monster bank to keep and raise their collection of beasties. That could be apart of its collection niche.

What a waste of our time and developers time if they try to do more of these lame duck limited jobs. Full job or not at all. Nearly every MMO ever released has some sort of pet class. I don't see why FFXIV doesn't have the creativity to implement it as a full job. Even if it was a clone of Beastmaster in Everquest which was pretty similar to Puppet Master it would work as a full job or if they had charm beast like the Enchanter and Ranger. If it was like Hunter in WoW it would work as well very easily. You could travel around capturing monsters and it shrinks them down like WoW and each pet has a unique ability or skill tree. You fight alongside the pet with dual axes like EQ. Done.

Even Blue Mage showed a surprising lack of creativity. WoW has druid, a class that can handle 4 different roles. There is no reason why Blu cant be a full job either if they locked abilities behind stances.

The level of BLU activity in PF during 5.1 showed that it was in fact not a waste of time.
