Double-ding when finishing an HQ item?

I was okay with a single ding that concluded the crafting. Having a second ding seems like a programming copy-paste error.

You mean the exclamation points above your head when there's (something) on your line? Yeah, it completely undermines the subtlety of fishing, which is to listen and watch for little tugs on your line. At that point, why bother expecting you to press a key to reel the catch in? Just start reeling, with success based upon your Gathering stat.

I think I read something in the patch notes that you can turn that off, maybe check at the fishing part.
.. but I think the mentioned setting was something related to combat effects, so if you turn that off it probably also reduces how much skill effects are shown in combat.

That sounds like:

System > Character > Character tab > Battle Effects Settings

It would be annoying if one were required to manually change that just to enjoy a little fishing.
