The artist created something unique and legally has recourse for intellectual property and such. the glamour is slapped premade parts together in a combination likely duplicated 100's of times. Explain how this is analogous.
I'm not calling glamouring an "art form" that is comparable with that. I'm saying that if an artist doesn't want their work modified by someone else, that doesn't give someone else the go-ahead to modify it anyway even if they keep it to themselves and the artist never sees it, same concept here in modifying someone else's appearance on your screen only even if they never see it or know.

By not supporting the option for this toggle I am apparently saying "I don't want to give someone the choice to use it" according to someone else so I'm going off that.

I would too. Muting someone is the more convenient internet equivalent of looking away. Modifying the words on your screen to appear different to you is not the same thing because you're not just looking away, you're changing their words to something that suits you better.
