No new Deep Dungeon in Shadowbringers?

Remember when they took one dungeon to make "other" content? Now we're in short of another PVE content for another casual crap. We're not even getting new "Eureka" until 5.3.xx. UMBRELLAS and NEW STUFF FOR GPOSE surely was worth it. But hey, LeTS PrETeND TheY MaKiNG NeW TyPe of PVE content, which they don't. My ass just blown away into oblivion. Why do we even need any PVE content in game, just make 4 new arenas for Lord of Verminion or something.
And another wasted opportunity to upgrade a content, make it interesting with a great rewards.

To be fair, that dungeon essentially gave us a second trial connected to the relic. It's supposed to be at EX difficulty levels. If it pans out well, I'm fine with that trade off given how boring dungeons generally are. That being said, I'm more than a tad nervous they're taking too many gambles here. If we get something like 4.5 Blue Mage, 5.3 will feel incredibly hollow.

Yeah, better stay silent and be happy with everything they give us, enjoy your minion farm.

Put it this way, if they do announce some silly farm or garden mini-game to replace DD, you can be assured there will be many people screaming at how dumb a decision this was. But lets wait until we have some information to go with being losing our minds.

I also think beastmaster would work better as a limited job. So I want that to happen.

Their cited reason - running out of resources - is a bit concerning, but it depends on what they're currently allocating resources towards, in the end. The ARR consolidation, due to come in 5.3, is probably proving especially taxing. Honestly waiting to see what 6.0 will bring, but if it's void of any decent new content/features I'm going to re-consider if it's worth even staying subbed to the game. Whilst I scarcely care about deep dungeons, I also don't hugely care about "lifestyle" content or more "limited jobs".

How many People actually still do Deep Dungeon?

Not sure if there's a way to get exact numbers, but I get asked about doing runs often enough I've got two of my alts ready to do potd clear runs now, since I don't have anything else to spend the pumpkins/firecrests on on my main. I know a lot of people that were dying for a new deep dungeon, and we're disappointed about this.

The ranch style thing they're making could be great content, whatever it turns out to be. But some of us were looking forward climbing up/down/sideways in a new area.

I'm disappointed by this news as I've had a lot of fun over the years doing potd floor 200 and hoh floor 100 runs with friends and we were looking forward to having a new one to run. I hope the new content they are trying turns out to be fun.

Yeah I hate deep dungeon as content so I wont personally miss it, but I feel bad for people who were looking forward to it. I felt the same way when they said they were taking another dungeon away since that's some of my favorite content. </3
