Lisette's blatant corruption and nepotism must be punished. Let us hope that she will be forced to step down from her position before next year's event goes live.

I concur, I would even go as far as to say that Lisette, and even Astrid, should no longer be part of any seasonal events going forward. They've run their course and they stifle the ability to meet new, maybe more interesting, NPCs.

Bert and Rodrigault were a slight step in a different, and more interesting, direction. But Astrid, who people knew more about through the previous Valentione event, stole too much of the limelight.

The event was a rushed job. That's it. It's not that deep.

To me it's more a question of whether or not a game system is bugged really. (Unless it's been mentioned already and confirmed it's not)

It's a system which has produced the same result across the board when there's meant to be multiple potential results, that's a bit weird, not impossible but weird.
Numbers/percentages would have variations and the like, maybe some worlds were close, maybe it was just a massive landslide, etc but it would help show it wasn't a bug and the like.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to learn just how many votes each candidate involved in the voting process received. I'm particularly interested in learning if Astrid truly had the majority of the votes or if Bert and Rodrigault had more overall between them.

Either way, such information would be beneficial if released to players in the name of transparency - especially given the nepotism involved in one of the candidates (and ultimate winner) being a relative of the hostess of the event in question.

Typically when votes are cast in an election, the overall result is broken down into specific numbers. That aside, if Rodrigault and Bert turned out to have more votes than Astrid between them then that would indicate that the competition would have been fairer had there only been two candidates standing rather than three. Some people also just find it interesting to examine numbers in general.

Though there's definitely arguments to be made as to the odds being unfairly stacked in Astrid's favour outright, given that she's the only one of the trio to have shown up during past events and her colour is the same one most frequently associated with the event in question.

I hated having to vote between the three of them anyway, so frankly I don't care how the votes were cast.

The real losers are the players. There should have been contingencies to allow the alternate quests to be shown in-game despite the stars not winning. Frankly I'm glad Astrid won, but I'm not thrilled at how the losing characters were shoved aside. I would be just as upset if Astrid lost.
