Square Enix please RNG is not fun I'm useless without Balance. How does that make them wrong, exactly?
AST is currently the least played healer by a huge margin. There's clearly something players dislike about the job.
It took the devs 2 years to acknowledge what a mess SB MCH was, and now we have a completely different job that is actually quite popular. Let that sink in for a second. Does that mean that all the players that complained for 2 whole years were wrong?
Square Enix please where is the thrill of rng i'm only getting Balance.
Some players can be basically well over the top and their reactions can go well into "bat country" to say the least however there has been changes made in the past that have really gone and upset alot of people for good reason namely this expansions gutting of the healer roles DPS abilities to name one. The problem is changes have been made that have not only upset people because they announced them, warned them it was bad and then when it came through ended up proving those concerns right, but there's very little reaction from SE about this, lets face it whenever healing DPS comes up lately theyre being UNUSUALLY evasive or running for the hills because the feeling I get is they dont want to admit the playerbase might be right and are a little afraid of the drama.
I agree with Yoshi. I can't count how many times people see notes on paper and scream till they are purple. The patch drops and everything is fine.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
5.0 DRK rework make it so brain dead and similar to WAR that basically most veterans have to abandon the job bcs the dev team doesn't listen our feedback never and make a poor job compensated with busted feactures, it's doesnt matter how much polite and organized ppl make threads the dev team seems to have something against certain jobs, DRK only sustain himself right now thanks how busted is his defensive shield is and a impresive amount of marketing of the job everywhere, the popularity of a job doesn't represent they did things right, 5.0 MNK is the best example of this, is they nerf DRK TBN and dark mind to a proper state Ppl will run of the job since how lame and baby proof his gameplay is, AST and healers status in general is pretty sad too.
on topic i belive the dev team is failing on his duty to comunicate with the playerbase and use the feedback properly, this case in particular is not a big deal since 1 day more doesn't hurt but i don't see the necesity of it, the comunity is not stupid and if the dev team put more focus on do things right they will save more drama that doing what they are doing right now and implement measurements to cover themselfs.
on the other side i agree that the comunity should be more responsable with the info given.
Really? I remember healer changes being announced before 5.0 and people saying it would be terrible. Remember energy drain? I do. I remember EVERYONE saying getting rid of it was an awful idea. Low and behold, 5.0 came out, SCH didn't have energy drain, and to nobody's surprise it was awful.
Id rather avoid more incidents where players get riled up for no reason without even having the patch thereby us experiencing a slew of forum posts freaking out over a job they havent played. (I.E. SB WHM Debacle). I mean theyll just tell you to play the job first and then give feed back. So better they do this instead.
If only the lack of RNG was the problem. The current card system is just annoying from a mechanical perspective and requires an insane amount of busywork just to let AST be on par with a WHM that simply spams glare.
