And lastly, you ARE spending a good deal of time in this thread arguing your point, I won't go as far as saying that your posts are lenghty, some of them are; now I understand you could be doing this from work (I know I do) and that you might not be able to open and watch a video about a videogame (I know I can't) but you can still read a guide there instead of posting and vent your frustration.
One again, you have the tools to take action against the person who wronged you, and that is reporting the player in game, it is NOT coming here and complaining in the forums about mentors because you had a couple bad experience.

Because that's how you do dungeons. If you aren't doing dungeons that way you're playing wrong. Do it properly next time.

I agree on watching guides for complicated fights like Zurvan or AS but I don't think it should be mandatory for every single dungeon... what's wrong with summing up the mechanics in a few words? It is a multiplayer game, there SHOULD be communication and not everyone reading their guides and then do their thing on their own.

Most Dungeon bosses are easy enough to be summed up in a few lines, like "kill adds, don't move when x, etc."

On the subject of assuming: you probably go to the toilet to take a dump once a day, and you probably have a phone, instead of watching a top 10 cutest kitties video watch a guide.
WoW assuming much? take a chill pill dude. What i do in the rest room is honestly none of your business, and shocking not everyone learns from guides video or text. I don't make any group i do content miserable as i actually pay attention. During fights. Never caused a wipe yet. You guys really assume too much.

I'm not frustrated just bring honest. you guys are showcasing a very poor attitude, and jump on this bandwagon that if you don't look up a guide, you automatically are a lazy/bad player looking for carry. Did you ever think i run content BEFORE guides are up? Players haven't wronged me, they have wronged my g/f. Who does nothing wrong to people.

And to be frank, reading a guide or not doesn't mean you will win or be good, people still come up with multiple strats for any particular content, and contradict each other with those strats. To me good (mature) gamers form a pre-form group and go over the basics of any and all encounter. This is to ensure people are on the same page. I find it lazy when people don't do that, as that is a sign of a bad group leader. And it is a sign of a bad group leader refusing to listen.

if you must know i access this on my phone, and have replies sitting out, I also only read op and read through most replies till 1 catches my eye and form a discussion.

People on these forums tend to parrot the same strawman/hyperbole to try to make their argument "worth reading", when it is just the same thing over again. Adding nothing new, no solutions, or just like some of you down right insulting others who don't agree with you.

Not everyone NEEDS to read a guide, more so if they play a long time, or pay attention in fights. To make a claim "if you can't/don't read a guide you suck be default" is being rude and arrogant. A pox in a pretty good community. No one needs to deal with that type of attitude, or should it be welcomed.

How do you think guides are made? People jump in and do the fights to learn the fight.

Also, my g/f did watch mtq guide for second coil turn 3 and 4 which are 10-20 min long, if you sit on the toilet for that amount of time I suggest going to a doctor.

Also reading/replying on a forum takes less time to find an accurate and highly used guide.

Imo people push guide reading to be lazy, and not be forced to communicate. but again just my opinion.

Do some people have nothing better to do than spend their whole day on the forums, necroing old posts, replying to people that likely don't even play anymore? Wew
