Can Savage be released 1 week after patch launch for the second and final tiers?

Wouldn't be against of delaying Savage for 1 week. Hovewer, can somebody explain me why you (as a general word, not OP specifically) rush so much to clear it all in 1st week? You have literally 6 months for every tier, nothing horrible will happen if you pay 1st week for MSQ, Trials and Normal mode raid. I cleared Savages in September, finished colleting armor for main job in December and still had 1.5 more month for doing whatever I want to do. So like... why?

• Bragging rights/prestige of being one of the first groups to clear (and thus the first folks walking around with the newest raid gear).
• Peer pressure if you're in a static and others want to tackle it right away.
• Desire to work on it 'blind' and figure out the mechanics, rather than waiting and having people have already learned them and just hand you a strategy you're expected to follow by the time you get in there.
• Fear of missing out; others are running it and you see them discussing it on Discord or linkshells and now you really want to go get it done before everyone else is through.
• Etc.

Different people probably have different reasons.

I can't speak for anyone else, but personally I enjoy EX and Savage content the most when I get to jump into it blind as soon as possible, before there are any guides or established strats out, and slowly figure it out through trial and error with my static or other people who are also operating with minimal experience.

By like the next day, the blind prog magic is gone, videos are out and everyone's been spoiled on any surprises (such as Titan's Final Form) even if they haven't personally cleared it yet. And even if one is trying to remain in information quarantine, it doesn't last long - someone somewhere somehow is going to spill the beans. A random person in chat, someone on social media, a thread title on the forums, a pug that joined your blind prog PF having already seen a guide, etc.

So unless you're part of the first wave, you miss out on the joy of discovery and the total chaos that is raiders diving head-first into unexplored territory and performing silly science experiments to see what works.

While i dont do savage, its exactly that on Ex trials to me, or raids... its just more fun, but shortly after release its mostly "enrage exp only" "have seen guide" etc which takes all fun out of it. I gotta do that stuff 100x so pls, let me at least have fun a few times lol

I like the challenge of being relatively blind and having the lowest amount of gear. Titan, while easier than some previous tiers, hit like a truck when you're rocking almost entirely i450. I also like to bounce jobs and pug. So the faster I clear, the quicker I can gear up other jobs and/or join other groups. In the end, it's just more fun to me than waiting several weeks or months to clear. I love the rush of a 25-30 hour raid week.

Clearing Savage Week 1 is considered an achievement in the raiding scene. Plus, the content is at its hardest since you are limited on the amount of Tome gear you can get at that point, meaning that you’re basically doing the content at minimum item level.



As for the request, I would be all for this. Gives us much more time to prep gear, food, and pots.
