Purely for the reason I'd rather not see Sephiroth or a talking lion telling me what to do, especially when we've already beaten Ultima Weapon so Midgar is safe.

Though, the parallel with the Meteor in 7 and the end of FFXIV 1.0 may be cathartic by proxy. But that's up to the people that played 1.0. But I still stand by my point before. We don't need more Sephiroth Clones. We already have plenty.

Don't see why people say no. FFXIV is a fanbase MMO. We already have Materia and the Gold Saucer from FF7.

That's why it's no. With Weapons Trials, we have already enough FF7 in FF14. AND I guess devs prepare a crossover event like FF13/FF15 for the release.

Isn't Zenos basically a clone.port of Sephiroth?

Haven't been following the news. Is the game still being released in parts? If so, still plenty of time to continue adding more content based on it.

We wouldn't get another alliance raid until 6.0 anyway, since we still have two more Nier raids. By that point, it won't be as relevant anymore.

I'd rather see 9 get some love, personally.

Maybe by the time the PS4 timed exclusive period is over they'll do something even if just a short cross over. Considering FF7R is gonna be episodic and the amount of time it is taking them to release the first one I'm sure they'll have like a decade to implement something if this game is still chugging along by then before it completely fizzles out.

They will probably have a reference to FFVII in the last part of each expansion until the game dies as is tradition while off adapting whatever for ffxiv more :P

Personally I'd like to see more FFIV, IX or X stuff since they aren't as heavily used as the others have been and that is if they must have fan service.

No for the simple fact 7 was a mediocre RPG. Take off the Rose colored nostalgia glasses just because it was 90% of people first RPG doesn't make it this end-all be all game.

7 gets way too much praise just because it came out at the right time and had the right advertising.

Xenogears absolutely destroys 7s story and gameplay. Not to mention countless other Rpgs in the psx era did.
