We have to remember that the current scenery and cities are the product of the first Producer. With Yoshi, there's a chance that they'll stay more true to the concept designs. (Of course we totally won't know for sure until it happens I guess).

Also that video posted above makes me upset as well I feel like I want to log in JUST to enjoy the scenery if at least one of the cities was like the one in the video..

I kind of figured that, I also hope that the Primals are the final boss of raids. Meaning a actuall Raid including mulitple 3-8~ etc bosses you have to kill, including having to kill trash that stays dead not just running by it till you get to the boss

Lol, what do those game have to do with anything?, I did play rift but just cause I did everything in XIV that I could do I don't have all my classes to 50 but I don't want them all there I want to save leveling them for 2.0. I don't dislike XIV I love it still I just want it to be amazing just giving a little criticism, and regardless I know I will love anyway it turns out to be.

He's a troll, best to just ignore him.

OT: I'm just hoping that we get a lot of nice looking landmarks to find all around.

Yea, something tells me that there will be some interesting, that dragon on the ship wreckage should look better.

another opinion i have is. take the graphics and the mechanics you just get bored. especially newbies.

its a lot of running, past the same graphics, to get to a battle that you hardly interact with (as a newbie at least) and the visuals in the battle are not really all that interesting either

    A few points...

First... I agree with what you're saying....

part of it is lighting... Like that dwarven skyrim city... Its like Cassieopiea but darker... as it should be... There is way too much unnatural light in this game.... The only light in Cass should be from the glowing fungii and that's it.... Caves are the same way
The black shroud? is under a canopy of trees that completely block out the sun yet its bright as the dickens... even at night. how much light are we really getting from those little stone candle things?
It may seem nitpicky.... or even inconsequential... but lighting goes a very long way to setting the mood

Also... the tech demo... and even the Ul'dah opening scene just have more lively NPCs going about their business and THAT also leads to a more alive world... But thats been talked about a lot in the "Eorzea more dynamic and alive" thread

Also... specifically with the bridge... could it have been because the game was so rushed that it came out so much simpler than the extravagant artwork? Like the landscape designers just ran out of time?

Another point... Is the world too pristine?
Everything looks so new and untouched...

Lastly... there is an aesthetic choice of more realistic environments as opposed to over the top fantasy scenery....
Most of what we see in game could really exist in the world... that seems odd for an FF title... there is nothing that you see and say "WOW... thats unrealistic but AWESOME"
