Well, this letter was a waste of a good chance of doing some announcement. As it had 0 FFXIV info it shouldn't be more than, just like others already said, some blog/twitter post.

Acting like a crybaby don't make you a crybaby, but sure make you annoying.
Anyhow, i for one when i seen the new letter expected something on 1.21, but heck it's just a new year greeting (late because he was at hospital). When you receive a greeting, don't respond "FFFUUU".
Just chill out, the info we waiting will come out when they're ready.
ps: this "we paying so we can say whatever we want" it's getting pretty old, and no more true than before

And so when someone comes in that does not express their opinion in a respectful manner, i.e. calling the message crap, calling something idiotic/moronic/dumb/stupid, they're going to get a reaction. It's not even white knight anymore, it's human nature.

Exactly. There is no problem with people giving their opinions, the problem is the "violence" used on their message.

While I am really glad the dev team is doing well and all...I think a letter like the one we received is best saved for a social website like others have mentioned.

Since we are not allowed to post off topic threads (They usually get locked really fast if it is not FFXIV game related.) I feel the letter should follow those guidelines too =P Won't lie...I am bit saddened by the lack of FFXIV news and content in the letter...was expecting an epic update with pics, new info, server merge info and polls.

And this is a good example of someone who give a different opinion without despising the rest and without being rude.



So... Just relax guys... It'd be nice if everyone say what they want but with some respect.

I am actually happy to see a letter like this and it is one of the few things that makes me think your race might actually get somewhere... then I come here and its all gone...

Heh... and people wonder why I am more and more losing all faith in you humans... if I actually had faith in you to begin with erm wait no I do have great faith that at some point you will destroy yourselves, but really I do hope that faith is misplaced and wrong.

Maybe you all should take a deep breath and reflect upon your lives and be happy you are here right now and can enjoy what you have. Though I'm sure that is too much to ask of from most of you...

For those of you that can only think about yourself and what you want... be happy to know karma works wonders...

People want some kind of answer about how 1.21 is progressing besides "we're working on it."

Please excuse the angry people who have nothing better to do with their lives but bitch and moan because they have to wait for a patch that per requested by themselves should be of quality not quantity.

In every case, the part of my post related to you was the first line. If you want to respond to something relatet to you, you can ignore everything after "anyhow".
