I realized none of the FFXIV races appeal to me, anyone else?

The only big let-downs for me when it comes to the races are:

a) The Duskwight. Dark elves have been my MMO/RPG go-to since Everquest, and while I tried to love my Duskwight, the proportions were all wrong so I had to abandon her
b) I kinda wish that the Miqo'Te had remained a female-only race, as originally intended. But I have my Viera now, so this is no longer an issue (male Miqo'te creepers in the MSQ notwithstanding).

basically what i mean to be saying with that youtube link (which i assure you is completely and totally work safe) is that it looks bad on purpose and there's steps you can take to sort of diminish it but in the end it's still bad

I decided on race mainly based on what class I plan to be. I kind of settled on focusing Dark Knight, Paladin and Summoner. I think Elezen are one of the few classes that make for a appropriate looking caster and an imposing tank because of their height (in the right armor).

Other classes I felt could work are Hyur and Miqote. Hyur is kind of basic and boring, though, and Miqote are too short and too popular; seeing them everywhere makes me want to be one less.

I'm quite happy with my Miqo'te. And as much as they are popular, I actually never saw the exact copy of my character. Maybe it is so due to the fact males are not as popular as females, and Moon Keeper males are even less popular. I do see characters with same face model of course, but some face options are always different. And well... it goes more to the customization issue than to the race itself anyway.

If male Miqo'te were not a thing, I would probably play either Mindlander or Lalafell. Overall I'm okay with races we have, even though I'm not a fan of their decision on one-gender races.

I want to be a female Elezen. Problem is, They just lack details and look like mannequins that have yet to be air-brushed. There is no natural flush/ freckles/ real detail to them. Several of the faces they have have no nostril detailing, as if it was forgotten entirely. You can only apply 1 type of face paint- you either do eye shadow or blush or freckles- you cannot do all 3 for some really strange reason. Miqo'te atleast some some sort of detailing. Lalafells are so small, you can barely see their detailing. Fem Roe's have such masculine/ frat-boy emotes- I hate it. Why is it because of their size, they have to have masculine emotes? Female Au Ra VS Male Au Ra: 1st off, why is there such a huge gap in size difference? Why do female Au Ra look like Skyrim Skeevers? Why do male Au RA look like Keanu Reeves on a screen with bad resolution? Why can't we change their horns? Female & male Hyur are similar as far as lack of detailing AND WHERE IS THE CHEST HAIR? WHAT BOUT HIGHLANDER EYEBROWS?
Viera have the most aesthetic facial detailing out of all of the races but their lack of being able to wear hats is a huge negative. Hrothgar look like the Dollar Store brand of FFX's Ronso. I can understand why all of the races are unappealing, there is such a lack of beauty to the characters we play VS the NPC's who get to have styles & unique looks of their own.

I agree with You, and I liked my Lineage II Elves.

I know that some people enjoy Elezen as they are now, but those people are in minority for a good reason

Solution: Give us more customization options.

I don't understand why SE doesn't put more focus on expanding character creation. If they released four new base-faces for all races, SE would make a fortune overnight on Fantasia purchases. They are not cheap at all.

They already make a fortune off fantasias by not doing anything - look at viera/hrothgar.
