Haha, you've read my mindI'm with you there hon. Heck, I've heard of folks from my dad's generation playing! Games unite a lot of people, and it's kind of cool to see who else is out there instead of just assuming it's a bunch of high school and college kids. I think it makes those of us who are older feel a little more connected and not so much the odd person out.![]()
Yeah, I’m genuinely curious, and I don’t even post troll threads lol. I just noticed mostly people who play this game are a lot older than me. I thought it was weird because I’m not used to that
I just loved Gen 4. The Turtwig line is one of my favorite starters to date, and it also introduced a bunch of my other all-time favorites, including Froslass, Garchomp, and Giratina. Diamond and Pearl had issues, but Platinum was great.
I mean, if we're going by "oldest game console owned", I had an Atari 5200 as a kid. Until it overheated after I beat Pac-Man during a horrible bout of insomnia. (Pro tip: staying awake for 70+ hours at a time is a terrible, terrible thing.)
Oh my goodness, gen 4! Used to play that a lot when I was a lot younger...platinum and pearl were my favorites. Think they’ll ever make a Gen 4/Sinnoh Remake? They really should....I just loved Gen 4. Make way. Xennial coming through!
Millennial 1985 here
I remember everything starting from my NES to SNES to N64 to Gamecube, skipped later the garbage that is called Wii/U, switched 1997 over to PS1 for Final Fantasy 7 - never regretted that to PS2, then X360 followed later by PS3, because gosh was the PS3 an extreme RPG latebloomer to now PS4 and most likely next PS5 ^^
Since 1997 got no Nintendo Junk in my house anymore, because they simple make no games, which are of my taste, N64 n GC did I had mostly only for Zelda, which is the only true own game licence of Nintendo, that is good, which I do miss, but I won't repat the mistakes of my childhood to buy consoles for literally only less than a handful of games I actually want, just I hope there comes more, when in fact Nintendo gave a **** about RPGs over these two console generations, because from PS1 on they were completely unable to compete with the concurrence and rather focused themself as " family console" on the market, giving basically Sony green light to become RPG King on the market, so another reason why I never regretted abandoning Nintendo since 1997, due to basically outgrowing from this platform, changing to the platform, that offers me constantly games from the genre I care about the most - RPG's!!
