The only thing I can see from your results is that some of the gear produced Tier 1 materia.

Gear that produces Tier 4 cannot produce Tier 1 and vice versa, therefore you have not used the same gear for these tests and the % results don't really help at all

I'm using L38-50 gear for the above result. FYI, L1-L40 gear cant gen T3 T4 Materia. L41-50 will gen T2-T4 materia, when the gear level is higher you will have higher chance to get T4 Materia.

I've assimiliated a lot of Rank49 gear.
I got a lot of Level 2 Materia. More than Level 4 materia.

This is a good table to look up (thanks for the information!).

Its actually a very complicated formula that involves moon phase, pixie hate, batraal gear and those weird sewer grates all around Eorzea..............................

either that or its a RNG deal with the T2's being weighted higher than the T4's....

My LS went out last week with 6 members and created approximately 100 materia between us. All gear was level 41+ and probably around 10% of it was Tier4. Managed to double Meld Sagacious Might4 Ring Band!!!!

Blew up more than a few Touch of Rage 9/10 >_>
