Seekers of the Sun have cat pupils. Mooncats don't, but have more pronounced fangs instead.
Skull bones, if you consider that miqo'te internal ear structure somewhat resembles the human one.
I'm not too bothered by it though - they still don't look quite human with their facial markings and cat-eyes. It's a bit odd, and it does bug me at a theoretical level if they're supposed to have evolved from a human ancestor - but it doesn't look that strange in itself.
It's definitely dependent on the hairstyle as well. The shorter ones draw more attention to the fact their human ears are 'missing'. (I'm not keen on the one they used for Kai-Shirr - the proportions just don't look right to me. I think it's designed around the human ear shape too much.)
Technically Keepers have cat pupils as well - just dilated, like cats' eyes in low light. A neat detail between the (theoretically) diurnal and nocturnal clans.
Yeah, I've noticed that with my characters - it's a nice detail. I'd just assumed the ears were fully built into the hair and were programmed to reference the skintone setting.
I think headphones (I assume you mean the big "earmuff" types) would need to be really customised for a race with higher ear placement. Maybe they still have the same headband shape but the bits at the ends are just pads to help support it while the actual headphones are mounted higher on the band. Or maybe you need more of a hat structure, or something that ties under the chin...
Earbuds are probably easier. They seem fine with linkpearls, however those physically work.
...what do you mean, I'm overthinking this?

You know, considering the cutscene in Crystarium in Markets where they showed how they "sell technologies thar resemble the homeland of Crystal Exarch" (or how they worded it) and also recent "Allagan Tomestone of Frivolity" tabletop furnishing item, not to mention the emote for using Companion App, I feel that linkpearl is pretty much just a smartphone.
There is a chance they didn't really think about it back in the past, looking at the animation that we see when somebody calls us in cut scenes, and changing it later was probably out of question, but looking at how the story goes, it really does feels like linkpearl is just a normal phone.
Finally someone else sees it like I do. xDYou know, considering the cutscene in Crystarium in Markets where they showed how they "sell technologies thar resemble the homeland of Crystal Exarch" (or how they worded it) and also recent "Allagan Tomestone of Frivolity" tabletop furnishing item, not to mention the emote for using Companion App, I feel that linkpearl is pretty much just a smartphone.

I always pictured linkpearls as like, a Bluetooth headset. Something you could clip to your ear whether it was a human ear or not. :P

I remember doing that ARR quest where you're supposed to put on earplugs to deal with the siren at Pharos and immediately questioned how the heck an Au Ra would use them.
Miqo'te just have weirdly positioned ears but it would take something like custom-fitted earmuffs to drown out sound for an Au Ra.
Has sense. It definitely is more practical during the battle going around, than searching for a phone laying somewhere in bottomless pocket.
It's more a guestion about what part of the horn exactly functions like ear. I think they actually answered this back in the past, but I don't remember if it's the base of the horn that catches the sound (so the "normal" ear zone) or the whole horn functions as one.I remember doing that ARR quest where you're supposed to put on earplugs to deal with the siren at Pharos and immediately questioned how the heck an Au Ra would use them.

Since we have no idea how Au Ra sleep, but we have been informed that their horns "molt" it might be okay to presume that the main functioning part is towards the base of their skull. But similar to the differences between regular human ears, the extended "bone" probably helps them to understand their surroundings better. It should be noted that they don't necessarily have better hearing, but better spacial recognition. Something that horns IRL help other animals with as well.
I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
How ever Au ra sleep we know it's not like how we humans do.. matter of fact. I don't think Miqo'tes sleep like us either. Think about this, they can't. The tails will get in the way. They need seats and beds that are made just for them due to those tails. They have BONES in there :O
