And that right there is why we dont see Miqote without hair on the side. Damn, right in my uncanny valley.

Prettymuch this. It probably looks a bit unsettling if you can actually see that the otherwise-human-looking character doesn't have ears where they 'should' be, so covering it up stops it from being so noticable.
There are a number of shorter styles (eg. Kai-Shirr's) where there's clearly not enough hair to hide human ears if they were there.
So... interesting thing with those. It looks like the inner ear is part of the body model but the fur on it is part of the hair.
I used the 'contemporary pince-nez' glasses on my Miqo'te character for exactly this reason. Other glasses still have the arms going to where the human ears would be, which doesn't make sense.
I just assume they (and Viera and Hrothgar, for similar reasons) use hair clips or a headband to hold glasses.
That depends on the glasses and hairstyle. My IRL glasses have a hingeless design so the arms are made of flexible metal. They apply slight pressure to the sides of my head when worn. I don't even notice it really, but it's enough that if I push the arms a little bit up from behind my ears they'll stick there and don't fall down unless I vigorously shake my head or jump up and down or something. If I stick them behind my hair they'll stay on just as well as they would sitting behind my ears. Then there's also the possibility of attaching them to the hair with clips. So I think normal eyeglasses make perfect sense with most miqo'te hairstyles.
Question to Miqo'te players: Does knowing that your character is hiding a scary little secret make you enjoy them any less? More?
What secret? It was pretty clear from the start that's how they're structured.
I have a few Miqo'te characters, and I'd already noticed they were like that. I just picked hairstyles that didn't make it too obvious.
Now, since you're over that revelation, if you have a closer look at Au Ra....
Don't look too closely. You don't want to draw our attention.
